UPPSC APS Selection Process 2022
As mentioned above, the UPPSC APS selection process contains four stages: the written exam, the skill test, document verification and finally, the interview.
The selection process of UPPSC APS Recruitment 2021 will be based over the Typing Speed test of appearing candidates. The Speed required for a candidate in the post of APS is 80 w.p.m in Hindi Shorthand and in Hindi Typewriting it is 25w.p.m is also important. One Test will also be conducted for the English Shorthand and General English is optional. There will be one paper consisting of 5 minutes for Hindi Typewriting (Compulsory) and English Typewriting (Optional).
From the selected candidates those who are found to be fit in both Hindi and English languages according to determined standard will be entitled for Bilingual allowance decided by the Govt. from time to time. The candidates are required to transcribe the prose read out in 05 minutes in the determined speed by typewriter for which 1 hour time will be given. Exam will be set for English Shorthand and General English which is optional. The below table shows written Exam divisions:

UPPSC APS EXAM PATTERN 2022
- There will be one compulsory paper consisting of 5 minutes for Hindi Typewriting.
- There will be one English Typewriting paper assigned, which is Optional.

UPPSC APS Eligibility Criteria 2022
Education Qualification
- The candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University.
- The candidates must have a typing speed of a minimum of 80 words per minute in Hindi Shorthand and 25 words per minute in Hindi typewriting.
- The candidates must have the knowledge of Computer in accordance with the course prescribed for the certificate course in computing (CCC) conducted by DOEACC Society and the course is conducted by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh or a course recognised by the Government as equivalent.
Age Limit
The candidates should fall in the age group of 21 years to 40 years. They must have attained 21 years and should not exceed the age of 40 as on 01st July 2022. Age relaxation will be provided as the norms.
UPPSC APS Interview Selection 2022
The second phase of the selection process is a personal interview. Candidates who qualify for the Written exam will be called for a personal interview. The candidates should have the minimum cut off marks in order to attend the interview. In the interview process, the candidates documents such as certificates are verified by the authority. During the Interview mental skills, language skills, approaching to the question of candidates were examined. The shortlisted candidates list will be published on the official website of UPPSC.
