The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is responsible for conducting the Teacher Eligibility Test in the State of Uttar Pradesh. The UPTET is an entrance exam taken only by those who want to teach at Primary or Junior High Schools. It is an entrance test to see if you are qualified to be a teacher in primary or secondary schools. This university board screens all the applicants who want to become teachers from all over Uttar Pradesh State and makes sure they are qualified to work there before making any offers of employment. All interested parties are encouraged to make sure they take this test yearly so they can gain acceptance into a teaching position in any one of the many schools across Uttar Pradesh. UPBEB is in charge of conducting teacher eligibility tests. These tests are really just preliminary screenings for people who want to teach at either primary or junior high schools. Every year, the UPBEB releases recruitment announcements for teaching positions at schools across the state.
