In older times the SSLC certificate consisted of a book which encoded the results of all the classes from 8 to 10. Few years back SSLC exams were considered as a prestigious examination in Kerala. Students work hard to gain ranks in the examination. There was a ranking system prevailing in regards to SSLC examination. The top ranks of Kerala will publish through the newspapers. Every student will wait as well get tensed regarding the results of the examination. This system of ranking related to SSLC examinations was put off due to the immense pressure and frustration among the students. Comparison pressure caused series of suicides and attempt for suicide among the SSLC students those times and eventually those ranking system got thrown away.

In the current system SSLC making and evaluation is based on the grading system. The most outstanding marks gained for the subject will be provided with an A+ grade. Normally 90% or above marks are considered as the A+ grade. The current SSLC certificate is widely used as an accepted proof of date of birth and place of birth and other important demographic data verification regarding a student. The well acclaimed certificate which is praised in the name of the turning point of the life is used to determine whether he is eligible for higher studies or not. SSLC Exam 2022 Answer Key

As with every other government and competitive examination, the answer key of the SSLC examination will not be provided officially by the directorate of General education. The official answer key will be given to the evaluators only the day before the valuation starts. The valuation camp is yet to start soon. The valuation will be done for the following subjects:

For the subject of computer or IT the valuation will be done instantaneously by the computer itself. No answer keys or valuation for the subjects. The valuation will be done by the pre programmed computer itself. For the subjects except English, social sciences and mathematics, all other subjects are out of a total mark of 80 where each student has to score 90% for the A+ grade whereas all other subjects are out of a total mark of 40. 20 and 10 marks will be given as the continuous evaluation (CE) for the respective above said categories. CE mark allotted by the teachers based on the performance of the students at the classrooms. So, the total marks will be out of 100 and 50 respectively.
