Telangana Police Constable Recruitment Overview

Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants must have to go through the notification from TSLPRB and confirm that they are eligible for all the conditions set by the recruitment Board. Applications can be rejected if they do not meet the criteria set by the Board.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must be 10th passed or its equivalent examination conducted by the State Government as on1st July 2022.

Medical Status

Physical Fitness

Candidates should posses sound health and be free from any bodily defect or weakness. Candidates who having the following body abnormalities like Handicapped, knocking knees, Hearing problem, Flat foot, Pigeon chest, Fractured Limbs, Varicose veins ,Decayed teeth, Hammer toes ,Stammering and Psychological problem will be unfit for the post.

Eye Sight

• Distant Vision: 6/6  (Both Right & Left Eye)
• Near vision : 0/5  (Both Right & Left Eye)

Age Limit

Minimum Age -18 years

Maximum Age-22 years

Upper Age Limit Relaxation for the police constable post is as follows:

• Ex- servicemen – 3 years addition to the length of service
• Telangana state Government Employee –  5 years
• Retrenched employee in state census department with minimum 6 month service in 1991 – 3 years
• NCC Cadet Instructor (with a minimum service of 6 months) – 3 years addition to the length of service
• SC/ST/BC – 5 years

How To Fill The Application Form

Applicants can follow the following steps to fill the application form for the post of Police Constable.

• The registration id and password will be provided
• Log in with the registration id and password
• Fill up all the required information
• Upload recent passport size photo and signature
• Preview the application form before making the Final Submit. If there are any corrections you can change before submitting the form
• Make the final payment : For General & BC Candidate: Rs. 800/- Whereas for SC/ST Candidate: Rs. 400/-

Telangana Police Constable Exam Pattern

Prelims Exam Pattern:

• The written test will consist of objective type questions.
• Total Marks awarded- 200 marks.
• Time Duration- 3 hours (180 Minutes).
• Medium of Examination- English, Telugu, and Urdu languages.

Final Written Exam Pattern :

• The written test will be both Objective and Subjective type.
• Total Marks awarded- 200 marks.
• Time Duration- 3 hours.
• Medium of Examination- English, Telugu, and Urdu languages.

There will be no negative marking. Total marks will be varied according to the post.

Telangana Police Constable Selection Process

Preliminary Written Test (PWT) :

All the eligible candidates shall be required to appear for the PWT. Questions in written test will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Marks carried will be out of 200 and the time duration will be 3 hours.

Physical Measurements Test (PMT) :

The candidates who passed in the above preliminary written test have to undergo Physical Measurements Test and should meet the following requirements:

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :

The candidates who qualified in the above Physical Measurements Test will be required to undergo the following tests and should meet the following requirements:

Final Written Examination :

Candidates who qualify in the above Physical Efficiency Test will be required to appear for a Final Witten Examination. The time duration for the examination is 3 hours. The minimum marks to be scored by the candidates to qualify in the Final Written Exam is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs / STs / Ex-Servicemen.  Questions in written examination will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages. Candidates must appear in all the Tests and Written Examination. If the candidate failed to meet  any of the above Tests/ Examination, will be automatically rejected.
