Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar’s Chief Minister for the seventh time on November 16, 2020, while Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi were sworn in as the state’s Deputy Chief Ministers. The Governor is the head of state, although the Chief Minister has de facto executive authority, according to the Indian Constitution.
