How to migrate to Tally Prime from Tally ERP 9
Follow these steps to upgrade to Tally Prime from Tally ERP 9.
Step 1: To get started, open the Tally ERP 9 program.
Step 2: Find the company you want to move to, Tally Excellent. Remember the 5-digit file number.
Step 3: Now it’s time to access the Tally ERP 9 information folder on your computer. Next, navigate to the data folder and find the file we obtained in step 2. Copy the file now.
Step 4: Copy the document and paste it into the Tally Prime data folder.
Step 5: Launch Tally Prime and select the Business option. The company information you entered in step 4 will appear here.
Step 6: Options – Move requests related to the Company you pasted into Tally Prime will appear. To start the process, select a company.
Step 7: In the dialog box, you will see two alternatives: one for “Configuration” (which allows you to back up your data before migrating) and one for “Migration”. Select “Move” from the drop-down menu. If you haven’t backed up yet, go to Configuration options and select a backup path. The transfer will begin when the backup is complete.
Step 8: Open the trial balance summary and review current obligations and other statistics to complete the process. Also compare it with your Tally ERP 9 data.
