TNPSC is about to conduct group 4 combined civil service examination on 1st September 2019. The hall ticket will be soon released on the TNPSC website. The exam is going to conduct in a single shift of timing from 10 am to 1 pm. The combined services include Tamil Nadu ministerial service, Tamil Nadu judicial ministerial service, Tamil Nadu survey and land record subordinate service, Tamil Nadu legislative assembly secretarial service, and Tamil Nadu secretarial service. Educational qualification for applying is SSLC or its equivalent with qualification to get admission to a higher secondary course. TNPSC Group 4 Syllabus and Pattern
Exam pattern
The exam is conducting for a total mark of 300. Time duration of the exam is 3 hours. Question will be asked from the topics general studies and aptitude. These are compulsory part. Candidates can either choose general Tamil or general English in the second part. Below shows the exam pattern:

Exam syllabus
Syllabus includes general studies, general English and literature based questions. General studies include general science and aptitude questions. It’s only 12 days left for the exam candidates should follow and revise the subjects as per the revised syllabus. General Studies
GENERAL SCIENCE: It has physics, chemistry, botany and zoology. Best material for covering the general science part is Tamilnadu state board text books from class 6th to 12th.
CURRENT EVENTS: This part include latest historical events, books and authors, awards and honors, political awareness, geographical changes, schemes, current economic problems, social problems, and latest science and technology innovations etc.
INDIAN NATIONAL MOVEMENT: National renaissance, Emergence of national leaders – Gandhi, Nehru, Tagore, Role of Tamil Nadu in freedom struggle etc.
GEOGRAPHY: it includes earth and universe, monsoon, rainfall, agriculture, population density, weather, disaster management etc.
INDIAN POLITY: It includes Constitution of India, Preamble to the constitution, Union, state and territory, Citizenship, Fundamental rights- Fundamental duties, Panchayat Raj, Tamil Nadu, Judiciary in India, Rule of law/Due process of law-Elections, Official language and Schedules and articles etc.
HISTORY AND CULTURE OF INDIA AND TAMIL NADU: Here one should start from Indus valley civilization and culture. Tamilnadu history includes Dravidian movement, political parties etc.
INDIAN ECONOMY: Nature of Indian economy, Five-year plan models, Application of science in agriculture-Industrial growth, population, education, health, employment, poverty, Economic trends in Tamil Nadu etc.
APTITUDE & MENTAL ABILITY TESTS: This section includes arithmetic problems and logical reason.
