TSPSC Group 4 Selection Procedure
The selection process involves two phases:
- Written test
- Document verification
WRITTEN TEST
Nature of examination: objective
There will be two papers each containing a total of 150 marks.
Paper- 1:General knowledge
Time duration:2 ½ hours
Syllabus
- Current affairs
- International relations and events
- General science in everyday life
- Environmental issues and disaster management
- Geography and Economy of India and Telangana
- Indian constitution;salient features
- Indian political system and government
- Modern Indian history with a focus on Indian national movement
- History of Telangana and Telangana movement
- Society,culture,heritage,arts and literature of Telangana
- Policies of Telangana state

Paper- 2:Secretarial abilities
Time duration:2 ½ hours
Syllabus
- Mental ability(verbal and non verbal)
- Logical reasoning
- Comprehension
- Rearrangement of sentences with a view to improving analysis of a passage
- Numerical and Arithmetical abilities
Documents verification
The next procedure is documents verification. A merit list will be published on the official website of TSPSC based on the examination marks of the candidates. The selected candidates are supposed to produce all the certificates and documents before the commission for verification.The required documents may include,
- Aadhaar card
- Date of birth certificate or ssc
- Proof of educational qualifications
- No objection certificate from the employer(if employed)
- Native certificate
- Community certificate
- Non creamy layer certificate(if applicable)
- Medical certificate (for blind)
- Medical fitness certificate for orthopedically handicapped candidate
- Certificate of hearing disability and hearing assessment
Those who fail to produce any of the documents above will be subjected to disqualification.
