The Indian Air Force was established on 8th October 1932 in British India as the air arm of the Indian Armed Forces. Twice every year. The IAF conducts recruitment processes for its different branches. The recruitment is held for 3 branches of IAF which are Flying branch, Technical Branch and Ground Duty. AFCAT 2022 – Exam Details
It is mandatory for all the aspirants to attend the written test AFCAT and the aspirants applying for Technical posts are supposed to attend the Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT). Each right answer carries +3 marks and -1 for a wrong answer. There will be no negative marking for unanswered questions. The AFCAT exam is conducted for 2 hour and EKT for 45min duration. A total of 100 MCQ’s are to be answered in 2 hour for a paper of weightage 300.

AFCAT 2022 – Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the test should first go through the eligibility criteria of AFCAT which included educational qualification, age limit, Nationality and physical standards. Educational qualification for the applicants are as follows:
Flying Branch
- Minimum 60% marks at 10th-12th level in Physics and Mathematics, three year degree in graduation or 60% in Btech or BE from a reputed and recognised university.
- Cleared Section A & B of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) Examination or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks.
- Final Year students with no backlogs can also apply if they can submit the university certificate.
- 20 to 24 years when the course begins.
- The age limit for candidates with valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by (India) is relaxed up to 26 years.
Ground duty(Technical)Branch
- Aeronautical engineering (Electronics) – Minimum 60% marks each in physics and mathematics at 10+2 level.
- Degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.
- Minimum age is 20 years and the upper age limit is 26 years which means born between 02 July 1997 to 01 July 2003 (both dates Inclusive).
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch
- Graduate Degree (Minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline with 60% marks
- Cleared Section A & B of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) Examination or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks.
- Minimum age is 20 years and the upper age limit is 26 years.

AFCAT 2022 – Importance of Mock Test
Mock tests are intended to familiarize the candidates with the examination pattern. Attempting and practicing mock tests will improve the candidates receptivity to the examination environment.
