Applications are invited for the Kerala Entrance Examinations for admission to Professional Degree Courses in the State for the year 2016-17. Candidates can apply online on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, www.cee.kerala.gov.in, from 3rd January 2016 to 29th January 2016.
Candidates, who wish to take admission in engineering colleges of Kerala, have to first fill in the Application Form of KEAM 2016. This article explains the complete procedure on how to apply for KEAM online.
The procedure involves following steps :
- Candidate Registration & Login
- Filling up Application Form
- Payment of Application Fee
- Print Application Form
- Send the completed Application Form along with supporting documents.
1. Candidate Registration
The registration process requires the candidates to register by entering the following details :
- Name
- Email ID
- Date of Birth
- Mobile Number
- Security Question
- Password
Once the candidates are successful in doing this, the screen will display an Application Number.
Note: Candidates are advised to keep safe this KEAM 2016 Application Number for all future references and must remember their password too.
Login
Once the registration is complete and successful, the applicants are required to click on the Home link given on the same tab.
The next step requires the interested candidates to login.
- Candidates can login only with their Application Number and password generated during the process of registration.
- Enter the security code as shown in the image next to it.
- After this, candidates need to click on Login button to submit it.
2. Filling up Application Form and its submission
(i) Uploading Image
At this step, the candidate should upload a scanned copy of a recent passport size picture with the following specifications. The picture should be passport size, front view, full face, in JPG format only with white background.The image size should be between 15 KB to 30 KB. Candidates need to mention their names and date of photo taken at the bottom of the picture with black letter and white background.
After uploading the picture, the candidate will have to fill in other personal and academic details.
Filling up the Application Form involves personal and academic particulars to be submitted by the applying candidate. The applicants of KEAM 2016 need to provide academic and personal details, like the following :
- Name
- Course Opted For
- Centre of Examination
- Gender
- Citizenship
- Nativity
- Nationality
- Residence
- Aadhar Number
- Religion
- Parents’ Name
- Permanent Address
- Address for communication
- Details of Qualifying Exam
- Subjects studied for Higher Secondary/Equivalent
- Community for Eligible Reservation
- Annual Income in Rupees
- Statistics
- Parents’ Education Level
- Income Level
- Declaration for final submission
Tip : We would recommend you to collect the various certificates such as Income, non-Creamy layer etc. (if needed) before this step since you need to furnish those details here.
3. Preview application submission
If the application is filled completely, candidate can Preview the details of the application before going to Final Submission. Click ’Save & Preview’ button to see the application details.
Candidate has to thoroughly verify each and every entry that has been made in the application. The clarity and size of Photograph are also required to be confirmed in the preview section. If any mandatory fields are found unfilled or any related fields are found mismatched, Preview cannot be possible. In such cases, error messages will be colorized in red for the respective fields. You should fill/correct the required entries and press ‘Save & Preview’ button to see the filled-up application details.
(i) Final Submission of Application
If all the entries made in the application are found correct and true during verification in the preview stage, candidate should agree with the statements shown under the ‘Declaration’.
Click the ‘I Agree’ box after reading the declaration statements.
Then press ‘Final Submission’ to submit the filled application through the application portal.
Remember, once the application is finally submitted, it cannot be modified
4. Payment of application fee
The applicants can pay the exam fee of KEAM 2016 through the following modes:
- Security Card
- Online – Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
- Demand Draft (Drawn from Nationalised/Scheduled bank)
Applicants will have to click on “Proceed to pay”. They also need to pay service tax as applicable.
Candidates, making exam fee payment through either of the three modes, have to pay Rs. 1,000 as KEAM 2016 application fee.
The successful payment of KEAM 2016 application fee will be determined by the fact that the candidate will be returned to CEE’s Payment Confirmation Page that will display ‘Transaction Successful’ alongside a reference number.
Also, the ‘Payment’ tab at the top will turn green.
Tip : While making payment, avoid refreshing the web page or pressing the back button or opening a new window. Candidates are strictly advised to not close their web browser until the payment confirmation is displayed.
In case of communication failure, if a candidate is uncertain about the outcome of your payment attempt, he/she can check the status of the payment tab in his/her home page to see if it has turned green.
If not, the transaction was unsuccessful and you need to make the payment again. If the amount was debited from your account for an unsuccessful transaction, the debited amount will be reverted to your account within 5-7 working days.
NOTE : The candidates paying the exam fee through Demand Draft, will have to send it, along with the printout of the completed application.
5. Final Step
They need to take printout of the completed application and supporting documents/certificates. Enclose the application and all necessary supporting documents in the envelope and send so as to reach the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations before the last date specified for receiving the application, at CEE office :

Mandatory documents that should be send include :
- Nativity Certificate
- Course Certificate / Mark list
- Proof of date of birth
and other supporting documents for claiming reservation ..
If the exam fee payment is to be done through Demand Draft, it is required to be enclosed along with the printout of the completed application.
Tip : Candidates need to take print of completed application form for future references.
And finally make sure your complete application reach CEE Office before January 30, 2016.
