BPSC has released a notification of Mineral Development Officer (MDO) in the Mines and Geology of the Government of Bihar with many vacant positions. The total number of vacancies released by BPSC are 20. The registration for BPSC MDO begins from May 4th, 2020.The BPSC has issued advertisement notification for the mineral development officer on 22nd April. BPSC Mineral Development Officer Notififcation: Eligibility Criteria
The Educational Qualification and Age Limit For BPSC MDO is given below.
Educational Qualification
The candidates must hold at least a second-grade degree from a recognized university or institute in MSc or MTech degree in Geology or Applied Geology or degree in Mining Engineering.
Age Limit
The age limit of the male candidates must be between 21 to 37 years while that of OBC, Extremely Backward Class, and women of all classes will be 40 years.
Age Relaxation For BPSC MDO are as follows:
- SC and ST class will get 5 years
Note: Age will be calculated from August 1, 2019

What is the Process to Apply For BPSC Mineral Development Officer Recruitment 2020?
The online registration for BPSC MDO will begin from 4th May 2020.
- Visit the BPSC official website: onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in/main/home.
- On the home page scroll and click on ‘Apply Online’ against Mineral Development Officer Competitive Examination.

- You will be redirected to the Registration Form page. Enter all the required details such as:
- a. Candidate’s Name
- b. Father’s Name,
- c. Mother’s Name,
- d. Date of Birth,
- e. Marital Status,
- f. Aadhar Number,
- g. Category, address, etc.
- Enter your Email ID and Mobile Number where the respective confirmation code/OTP will be sent.
- Click on the “Submit Registration Form” button.
- A page will appear where your Application Number, Username, and Password will be mentioned. Using the same Username and Password, login on the official website.
- Click on “Online Payment”.
- Enter the requested details and complete the payment.
- Take the printout of the receipt and form and keep it with you for future references.
After successful submission online for BPSC MDO, the Hard Copy of Online application form must be sent to the given address on or before 10 Jun 2020 05:00 PM

BPSC Mineral Development Officer Exam Pattern
The BPSC MDO written exam will be conducted for 300 marks. There will be a total of 3 papers for the BPSC MDO Exam of 100 marks each.

- Paper 3- Minerals Mines Act

Points to be Noted:
- There will be a choice for the candidates to answer questions between mining engineering and geology.
- The shortlisted candidates from the written test will be called to appear for the interview. The Interview will be of 50 marks.
- The final list of the candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured in the written test and the interview.
BPSC Mineral Development Officer: Admit Card
The BPSC Mineral Development Officer applications are underway and candidates must apply as soon as possible. As per the dates and details regarding the admit card, the authorities haven’t provided any news. But the admit card will be released 2-3 weeks before the BPSC MDO exam.
