The latest Miss Universe contest was held in Eilat, Israel and Harnaaz Sandhu from India won the title on December 13, 2021. The crown of the present Miss universe is known as Mouawad Power of Unity Crown which was made by Mouawad Jewelry. It is the most expensive beauty pageant crown in the world. Its total worth is about 5 million US dollars. It has Golden Canary Diamond. The crown represents Ambition, Diversity, Community, and Beauty according to Pascal Mouawad. Paula Shugart is the current president of this beauty pageant.
Miss World Beauty Pageant
Miss World Beauty Pageant is the first international beauty pageant. It was formed by Eric Morley in 1951 in the United Kingdom. After the demise of Eric Morley, his widow Julia Morley chaired the pageant. Now she is the president of the Miss World Organization. The present Miss world is from Jamaica and her name is Toni- Ann Singh. The 70th miss world beauty pageant is scheduled to be conducted on 16th March 2022. India has won the title in 2017 by Manushi Chhillar.
Kiki Hakkanson is the first Miss World Winner. Reita Faria is the first Indian to win the title in 1966. Beauty with a Purpose is a charity program conducted prior to the Miss World contest. It mainly focuses to raise money and do humanitarian projects worldwide. Manushi Chillar (India), Miss World 2017 is the first and only one who won the Beauty with the purpose title before winning the Miss World title.
