There was a tie for first place in the winners list after the two Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies last weekend, including the juried winners revealed in August. Five shows each received five awards. However, HBO’s The White Lotus, which received 10 Emmys after five tonight, ended up being the big winner among the shows. The evening’s lone solo double winner was writer/director Mike White, who received two of them.

Emmys 2022 Fashion
As beauty returned to the Emmys on Monday in the oppressive Los Angeles weather, Elle Fanning went Old Hollywood in a dress created by Sharon Long for her show, “The Great,” while Hannah Waddingham wore Dolce & Gabbana and put bejeweled high top sneakers on her feet.
Waddingham from “Ted Lasso” displayed her comfortable white sneakers underneath her corseted strapless pink outfit. Fanning, who had her hair pulled back into a bob, said she wanted to pay tribute to the show’s creative team for getting her first Emmy nomination. Black and pink, with embellishments at the chest, was Fanning’s style.
Ralph looked stunning in a strapless, black velvet dress with an orange underlay and an upper thigh slit. She had a tiny orange purse with her. The stars gave it their best.
Working with Law Roach as her stylist, Zendaya wore a traditional black strapless corset outfit with a voluminous skirt and delicate bow at the waist. She was covered with Bulgari jewelry, including a brand-new, youthful white diamond choker with a 4.45-carat stone in the middle, and it was Valentino. She had pockets as well.
Pink was the dominant color of the evening, according to People’s style and beauty director Andrea Lavinthal, even if many other hues enlivened the carpet. Laverne Cox and Himesh Patel, who avoided the customary evening black and instead wore a dramatic black Jean Paul Gaultier Couture mini, helped launch the parade of fashion. Color ruled the night, especially on “Yellowjackets” author Sarah Thompson in royal blue, marigold yellow, and other hues.
Blue sequins and sunglass-worthy sparkle were Reese Witherspoon’s choice. She was wearing a stunning Tiffany & Co. aquamarine, blue zircon, and diamond choker. Amanda Seyfried wore a pink Armani Prive body hugger with platinum-plated Cartier diamond drop earrings. Seyfried declared, “Tonight, I’m a mermaid.”
Another welcome shock for Lavinthal? Men who abandoned black tuxedos in favor of all-white ones, such as Nicholas Braun from “Succession” wearing a double-breasted tux designed by Christian Dior. Seth Rogan and Andrew Garfield both chose white. With a chic collar that hung off one shoulder, Jean Smart also made the decision to wear white. Kerry Washington wore a short, draped dress by Ellie Saab that had a long overskirt and a riot of organza lilies on one shoulder.
Under the fur, Carmichael had no shirt on and was wearing a platinum sunburst necklace. The top of his white underwear peeked out from beneath his black satin slacks, adding accent. He was wearing black loafers without socks.
A few hours before anxious nominees made their way to their seats, winners were announced, and moving speeches were given, style took center stage on the Emmy 2022 red carpet. As you were finalizing your 2022 Emmys ballot, TV’s biggest stars were in hair and makeup, making last-minute adjustments to their long-planned looks. A variety of looks (and sartorial choices) created by Hollywood’s most desired stylists were on display on the red carpet, which was attended by celebrities including Hoyeon, Sandra Oh, Lizzo, Zendaya, and others. The finest supporting actress in a limited or anthology series or film category nominations for Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Alexandra Daddario, Natasha Rothwell, and Sydney Sweeney should make for a memorable photo.
