IIT Kharagpur released the answer key of the GATE 2022 on Tuesday, 22 / 02/ 2022. GATE exam was attended by candidates all over the country this year also like the previous years in spite of the initial confusion regarding the date of the exam. The timely release of the answer key allowed everyone to calculate their marks accordingly and judge their chances of getting selected for the master’s program in the top IIT and NIT institutions of the country.
The Indian Institute of Kharagpur also announced that candidates are allowed to raise objections against the GATE answer key that was released till 25 th Feb. Those who have not downloaded the answer key till now are soon recommended to download the key from the link that is given below and check their probable score by using the response sheet also. Objections for the answer key can be made by logging into the GATE Online Application Processing System ( GOAPS). Candidates should pay a fee of Rs. 500 for each question.
The final result will be published by the IIT Kharagpur itself after a detailed check and review of the requests, objections, and feedback of the candidates on the official website. Candidates have to wait till March 17, 2022, to get the final result of this year’s GATE exam and March 21, 2022, to download the scorecards. The final answer key will also be received by the candidates on the result day itself.

- Enter GOAPS website
- Select the “ Contest Answer Key “ option
- Pay the fees required ( Rs. 500 for each question)
- Enter question number
- Mention the reasons for objection within 500 words
- Attach relevant documents
Ways To Calculate GATE 2022 Score
- Candidates should remember there are negative marks for wrong answers for multiple-choice questions ( MCQ) only and Numerical Answer Types ( NAT) are free from Negative marking
- Both one mark and two mark multiple-choice questions have negative marking, one third marks will be deducted for one mark question whereas two-thirds marks will be deducted for two marker questions
