1: How do you say "Good Morning" in German?
The German B2 exam is conducted under the Common European Framework of Reference for Language (CEFRL). It consists of four modules:
- Writing
- Speaking
- Listening
- Reading

Let us understand the pattern of each module in German B2 exam.
Reading

Teil 1 | 9 | 18 minutes | This teil is topic based. You will get four texts based on a topic. Read the texts carefully and answer the questions |
Teil 2 | 8 | 12 minutes | You are given an article from a magazine with blanks in it. You have to fill the blanks with the appropriate answers given as options. There will be six blanks and 8 options. |
Teil 3 | 6 | 12 minutes | You have to read a text and answer the multiple choice questions based on the text. |
Teil 4 | 6 | 12 minutes | This teil consists of six texts and seven headings. You have to find the appropriate heading for each text. |
Teil 5 | 3 | 6 minutes | This teil is somewhat similar to teil 4. You get 3 texts and 7 headings out of which you should find the relevant ones for the text given |
Listening
Teil | Number of Questions | Questions |
Teil 1 | 5 | You will be listening to 5 audio clips which can be a dialogue, weather report, an announcement or a message on an answering machine. Each of these conversations will have two questions, True or False and mark the correct answer from the options given. |
Teil 2 | 6 | An audio interview with a personality on radio will be played. You can listen to the audio twice and answer multiple choice questions based on it. |
Teil 3 | 6 | This will again be an interview between a presenter and two guests. You have to read the sentences and identify who said those statements. |
Teil 4 | 8 | You listen to an audio and answer multiple choice questions based on this. |
Writing

Teil 1 | 1 | 50 minutes | You will be given a topic and four points based on that topic. You have to compose a text with a word limit of 150 words. |
Teil 2 | 1 | 25 minutes | This teil involves formal letter writing. You are given a situation with 4 points. You have to compose a letter with a word limit of 100 words. |
Speaking
This module is done with a partner.
