High Court of Karnataka invites online applications from eligible candidates for filling up of 30 vacant posts of District Judges (23 backlog vacancies and 7 fresh vacancies) by direct recruitment.

Karnataka High Court District Judge Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria set by High Court of Karnataka for the post of District Judge is as mentioned below. Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Karnataka High Court District Judge Educational Qualification

1. i) Candidates appearing must be holder of a degree in Law granted by a University established by Law in India;
2. ii) Must be practicing as an Advocate in the High Court or in a Subordinate Court on the last date fixed for receipt of applications and must have so practiced for a period not less than SEVEN years as on such date.

Karnataka High Court District Judge  Age limit:

Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes must not have attained the age of Forty-Eight years and must not have attained the age of Forty-Five years in the case of others, as on the last date fixed for receipt of online applications.

Karnataka Assistant Court Secretary Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria set by High Court of Karnataka for the post of assistant court secretary is as mentioned below. Following factors has to be satisfied by the candidates to be eligible to apply for the post-

Karnataka Assistant Court Secretary Educational Qualification 

i) SSLC Examination conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or its equivalent examination.

OR

Diploma in Commercial Practice / Secretarial Practice in English or any other examination recognized as equivalent examination to them by Universities or Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or Technical Board

ii) Senior Grade Examination in English Shorthand in first class.

OR

Proficiency Grade Examination in English Shorthand; and

iii) Senior Grade Examination in Typewriting in English conducted by the Department of Public Instruction of the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or equivalent qualification.

iv) Must have Knowledge of Computers.

Karnataka Assistant Court Secretary Age limit:

• The applicants must have attained the age of 18 years in respect of all categories and not attained the age of 40 years in the case of a person belonging to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or Category-I of other Backward Classes 38 years in the case of a person belonging to Category II-A or II-B or Category III-A or III — B of other Backward Classes; and 35 years in the case of others as on the last date of submission of online application.

1. Login to official website of High Court of Karnataka website karnatakajudiciary.kar.nic.in
2. Go through the official notification carefully.
3. Click on the “Online Application” Button and next click on Ok.
4. Read all the instructions on the next screen, and proceed further by clicking (√) on Acceptance and click on Apply tab.
5. Applicant shall select post as per their choice.
6. Fill in all the required details asked as per the certificates.
7. Click on edit button for any further modifications / corrections are required, Click on Save & Continue button. Otherwise click on Save &Continue button to proceed.
8. One Time password will be generated, save it for future reference.
9. Click on the preview button to see all the personal information and contact information filled.
10. Upload photo and thumbprint as per the guidelines
11. Verify all the details added and ensure its correct then click on submit button.
