Table of Contents
The Chief Minister of Maharashtra leads the Government of the Indian state of Maharashtra as its head. Commencing the elections to the Legislative Assembly, the Governor calls forth the party (or coalition) with a majority of seats to form the government and appoints the Chief Minister (CM). If the appointee is not a member of either the Legislative Assembly or the Legislative Council of Maharashtra, then the Constitution directs that they need to be elected within six months of being sworn in. The office of the CM is termed for 05 years, but he remains to stay in power until he has the confidence of his minister. Uddhav Thackeray of the Shiv Sena is the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

1: Who was the first woman President of India?
Uddhav Bal Thackeray was born on 27 July 1960 to Bal Thackeray and Meena Thackeray. He is currently serving as the 19th Chief Minister of Maharashtra State. He assumed office as CM on 28 November 2019 as the president of the newly established post-poll coalition Maha Vikas Aghadi. Uddhav Thackeray is married to Rashmi Thackeray and has two sons, Aditya and Tejas.

Maharashtra state is located in the western peninsular region of India occupying a substantial part of the Deccan Plateau. Maharashtra is the second-most populous state in India and also the third-most populous country subdivision in the world. Maharashtra was formed on 1 May 1960 by dividing the bilingual Bombay State, which had existed since 1956, into majority Marathi-speaking Maharashtra and Gujarati-speaking Gujarat. The capital of Maharashtra is Mumbai, the most populous urban city in India. The winter capital of Maharashtra is Nagpur. The Godavari and the Krishna rivers are the two vital rivers in the state. Marathi language is spoken by majority of the people and is also the official language of the state.
