1: Who was the first woman President of India?
To begin with, one should understand the different categories of ministers that are present in the Union Cabinet, in order to learn their roles in a better way. Basically, the union cabinet consists of four different categories of ministers. They are-
- Cabinet Ministers

Cabinet Ministers
The whole bunch of cabinet ministers are primarily responsible for both the upper and lower houses of the Parliament as well as the decisions and the policies that they take up. Furthermore, they give and take advice from the Prime Minister of the country during the governance. Together with the head of the Government, they form the ultimate policy making body of the country.
Ministers of State
These ministers are guided by the cabinet minister. They perform the duty of any particular department assigned to them by the union cabinet.
Minister of States with independent charge
Even though the Minister of States with independent charge has the equal potentiality of a cabinet minister, they both differ from each other in certain facts. Unlike a cabinet minister who regularly attends the cabinet meetings , a Minister of States with independent charge only does so, under special circumstances.
Deputy Ministers
The primary role of a deputy minister is to assist the cabinet minister in various duties. It can be parliamentary duty, administrative duty or even political duty.
