The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is the body that governs cricket in India. Formed in 1928, registered under the Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, BCCI falls under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, acts as its headquarters. BCCI is a group of cricket associations of each State. The Chief of BCCI is elected by the representatives chosen by these State Associations. Presidents of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)
The highest post at the BCCI is the President. The thirty affiliates of the BCCI casts one vote each during the Annual General Meeting of the BCCI to elect the President. This post can be held for a maximum duration of three years.
According to the Supreme Court of India, the interim role of the President and Secretary will be taken up by the most Senior Vice- President of BCCI and the joint secretary.
