Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) is soon going to release a notification for recruiting candidates to the post of Excise Sub-Inspector as initial appointees under Excise Department of Odisha Police. Interested candidates can apply for the post of  Excise Sub-Inspector by visiting the official website at www.ossc.gov.in.

A total of 87 vacancies will be filled in this recruitment process. Those candidates who are interested in applying for the post of Excise Sub-Inspector should have a Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any  recognized University.  PWD candidates are  not eligible to apply for the post.

As per the last year’s notification, the selected candidates will be appointed as Initial Appointee carrying a remuneration of Rs 15000/-per month. Not everyone can apply for these uniform jobs. People with disabilities cannot apply for OSSC Sub-Inspector of Excise examinations. As per the notification, only Indian Candidates can apply for the post, and they must have good speaking and writing skills in Odia language.

• Age

The candidates must be aged between 21 to 38 years. The SEBC, SC, ST and all women candidates are relaxed for five years in the upper age limit.

The Candidates other than SC/ST category have to pay a non-refundable examination fee of Rs. 200. Using credit card, debit card and net banking candidates can pay the exam fee.

OSSC sub-inspector of Excise 2022: Exam Pattern

The recruitment of OSSC Sub-Inspector of Excise 2022 includes the written exam, physical examination and interview. The Written Exam consists of 100 questions and each question carries one mark. For each wrong answer, there will be a 0.25 negative marking. As per the rule, all the candidates have to complete the exam within 1 hour 30 minutes.

Physical Examination
