Tamilnadu public service commission was started in 1923 and determined in recruiting young candidates in relevant job fields. TNPSC Education Qualification Criteria
For applying Group 1 and 2 exams, candidate must have a degree from recognized university or institute based on the post. Those who are in the final semester of the course can also apply for the preliminary exam of Group 1 related job vacancies. To write Group 3 exam one should possess HS degree with 60% and to write Group 4 exam candidate have to pass 10th standard or equivalent. Group 2 has two sections- 2 and 2a. Tamil language proficiency is must because all jobs are based in Tamilnadu.
TNPSC Physical Qualification
Candidates who need to apply for job of Deputy Superintendent of Police which is a category 1 based exam must have these physical measurements as below
- For women height should not be below 155cms
- For men, chest should not be below 86cms and height should not be below 165cms

TNPSC Selection Procedure
Exams are conducted in 3 tiers
- First tier- preliminary examination
- Second tier- mains examination
- Third tier- interview
Other criterion is age limit that is age should be minimum of 18 years and maximum depends on the post applying for.

These above cutoffs are not official from TNPSC. Question paper in this year is comparatively tough as more conceptual questions are asked in group 1 preliminary exam.
