The Kerala State Film Awards 2024 have been announced. Cultural Affairs Minister Saji Cheriyan declared the winners at a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram. Prithviraj Sukumaran won Best Actor for Aadujeevitham, while Urvashi and Beena R. Chandran shared the Best Actress award for Ullozhukku and Thadavu. Mammootty’s Kaathal – The Core was named Best Film, and Blessy bagged Best Director for Aadujeevitham.

1: Who was the first woman President of India?
The 54th Kerala State Film Awards 2024 saw around 160 film entries, with 50 shortlisted after the first round. Screenings were held at the Chalachitra Academy’s Ramu Kariat Theater and LV Prasad Theater, KINFRA, where two committees reviewed 80 films each, selecting the top 30% for final judging.
Only 2023-certified films were eligible. The final jury, led by acclaimed Hindi filmmaker Sudhir Mishra (Dharavi, Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi), featured experts like Prathap V. Nair, Vijay Shankar, Shihabuddin Poythumkadavu, Vinoy Thomas, Malavika Binny, and C.R. Chandran.
