Chandigarh Home Guard Recruitment 2021
Applications are invited from Male Candidates under 45 years towards the enrollment of Home Guard volunteers in Chandigarh Home Guard organisation. The enrollment is purely on a volunteer basis for the period of three years. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on the application and will further invite to attend both the Physical Test & Trade test as required. This year is notification is out with 25 vacant posts( Male applicants only). After selection, candidates have to undergo a minimum training of 45 days on the subject to inculcate the sense of discipline in Home Guards is essential. The Home Guards Volunteens will initially be enrolled for a period of 3 years which can be extended for another two years on merits. Thus, the maximum period for which Home Guards should be retained will be 3 to 5 years and they must be turned over to allow to fresh intake.

Home Guard Volunteers: Eligibility Criteria
- Education Qualification: Candidates should have completed at least Matriculation (Class 10) from any recognised boards.
- Age Limit: Candidates age shall be between 18 years and 50 years. Age limit in no case can be exempted except in exceptional cases which can only be given by the Commandant General Home Guards.
- Physical Test: The physical test shall include a one-mile race in 08 minutes for the age group of 18 to 35 years and one-mile jogging for the age group of more than 35 years to 50 years.
Candidates shall not be enrolled as volunteers in home guards unless he/she is declared medically fit fon the job by the Medical Officer from Government Hospital.
