Educational Qualification
The applicant must have a degree in law from a recognized university.
Age Limit
The candidates must be 35 years of age by the time of submitting the application. For reserved categories (ST and SC ), the age is relaxed up to 38 years.
Applicants must be an Indian citizen.

Starting date for submission of application: 02 February 2021
Last date for submitting the application: 01 March 2021- 4:00 PM
Date of preliminary written examination: 16 May 2021
Date of release of Admit card: Will be announced later
Application fee
Unreserved category : Rs.500/-
SC/ST : Rs.250/-
SC/ST candidates belonging to other states are required to apply as general candidates and should remit the application fee as that of a general candidate.
Fee once remitted shall not be refunded on any basis and candidates are requested to pay the application fee via Credit Card (Visa /Master/ Rupay), Net Banking, Debit Card(Visa/Master/ Rupay), Wallets & Cash

Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be in the scale of pay of <27700-770-33090-920-
40450-1080-44770/- per month plus other allowances as admissible under the rules.

The candidates who works in the Government sector shall apply either through proper channel or present the ‘No-Objection Certificate’ (NOC) from his or her employer.
Selection process
The eligible candidates are required to through three phases of selection process.
- Preliminary written test
- Final written test
- Interview
Preliminary Written test
The candidates have to appear in a Preliminary Written Examination (Screening test) of objective questions of 100 marks which will cover subjects like General Knowledge, Aptitude, English, Constitution of India, Code of Civil Procedure, Code of Criminal Procedure, Transfer of Property Act, Indian Contract Act, Indian Penal Code, Indian Evidence Act, Law of Torts & local laws of Tripura
General category candidates who obtain 60% or more marks and the candidates of reserved categories who obtain 50% or more marks in the Preliminary Examination shall be eligible for appearing in the Final or Main Written Examination.

Final Written Test
Candidates who successfully pass the prelims are eligible to enter the final examination. The official syllabus released through their website are listed below,
- ENGLISH -100 marks: (a) Essay Writing (b) Precise Writing (c) Grammar etc.
- BENGALI -100 marks: (a) Translation of an English passage into Bengali- 25 marks (b) Translation of a Bengali passage into English- 25 marks (c) Essay writing- 30 marks (d) Report writing to newspaper on social/specific problem to publish it to draw the attention of the authority- 20 marks.
- General Knowledge: (a) Objective Type (b) Aptitude Test
- LAW PAPER-1 -100 marks: (a) Constitution of lndia (b) Code of Civil procedure (c) Transfer of Property Act (d) Indian Contract Act
- Law Paper II- 100 marks : (a) Indian Penal Code (b) Criminal Procedure Code (c) Indian Evidence Act (d) Law of Torts.
Interview process
Successful candidates in the Final Written Examination shall be called for Interview/Viva Voce. General candidates who obtain 60% or more marks and candidates of reserved categories with 50% or more marks in the Final Written Examination shall be called for Viva voce.
