Integrated Rural Development Program

The Indian government introduced the Integrated Rural Development Programme in 1978 and 1979 in order to create full employment opportunities in rural areas. A lot of opportunities were provided in order to develop the areas of agriculture and provide proper information related to the agricultural practices to the farmers who are not able to get information due to lack of education. More than 182 lakh families were provided proper benefits in this integrated rural development program and as per the statistics of 1996, about 21 lakh families have benefited.
Drought Prone Area Program
Drought prone area program was launched in 70 districts of 13 states of India and this program was launched in order to provide fruitful results in the areas of seasonal unemployment, especially in the seasons of drought. 70 lakh days of employment work were provided to around 17 crore people in this development programme presented by the Indian Government. Rupees 300 crores were spent on the program in the 6th phase of the program and the program went on till the 7th phase.
Self Employment Training Program
A self-employment training program was launched on 15 August in the year 1979 by the Government of India and it was called the National Scheme Of Training Of Rural Youth For Self Employment program. In this program, employment was increased among the youth of India and around 11.6 lakh youth were trained under this program presented by the Indian Government. Young men were given financial assistance when they had completed their training. Each and every beneficiary was provided Rupees 3000 to Rupees 5000 to start his or her own work. This is one of the most popular employment programs presented by the Indian government.
Employment Exchange Offices
Employment exchange offices are set up by the Indian government in order to provide various opportunities to the Indian citizens who were not able to get good jobs even after they have completed their education in various universities and colleges situated in India. You can check out the employment exchange office near your house and then you can submit your resume to the concerned organisation. The employment exchange office will give your name to the concerned organisation that they think might be interested in you and then you will be able to get a job accordingly.
Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Yojana was presented by the organisation of the Indian Government in 1993. This scheme is one of the most popular schemes presented by the Indian Government because it aims at creating and providing sustainable self-employment opportunities. Employment opportunities have been provided to more than 1 million educated unemployed youth in the country till now since the inauguration of the scheme. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme or popularly known as MGNREGA has been one of the most popular employment opportunities for rural India since 2nd October 2009. The scheme was created in order to provide 100 days of guaranteed employment in a particular financial year to at least one member of every rural household. This scheme has proved to be the most effective Employment guarantee scheme presented by the Indian government for the rural citizens of India.
