Expanded TV Channels Under PM eVidya Program
To provide supplemental instruction and establish a resilient education apparatus, the government would expand the PM eVidya program from 12 to 200 TV channels. The finance minister, Mrs Nirmala Sitharaman, mentioned schools closing due to the pandemic. Details of the PM eVidya Scheme
1: Who was the first woman President of India?
The PM eVidya scheme was developed as part of the One Nation One Digital Platform to safeguard children’s education amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled the plan on May 18, 2020. The PM eVidya initiative allowed the top 100 institutions to automatically commence online courses on May 31, 2020. Models Of PM eVIDYA Program
Digital infrastructure for knowledge sharing
On September 5, 2017, the Vice President of India formally launched this platform. This portal delivers instructional content that is aligned with the school’s curricular requirements. Swayam portal
The Indian government created this portal in order to achieve the three cardinal values of education: access, equity, and quality. As of May 2020, over 90000 students had already registered on this portal. Swayam Prabha TV channels
On July 7, 2017, Swayam Prabha TV was launched. It’s a collection of DTH channels dedicated to broadcasting high-quality educational programming. These shows will be broadcast seven days a week, 24 hours a day. The GSAT 15 satellite is used to broadcast this channel. New content is covered for at least 4 hours per day through the host. This subject will be replayed five times per day so that students can learn at their own pace.
Extensive use of radio, community radio, and podcast
The government plans to establish educational web radio streaming and audio for educational reasons so that students who are blind or do not have access to other forms of education can receive an education. Mukta Vidya Vani and Shiksha Vani podcasts will host these radio episodes.
Specially e-content for children with special needs
Special e-content will be offered for children with special needs. The National Institute for Open Schooling’s website will be accessible to people with disabilities. Online coaching for competitive exams
The NEET Department of Higher Education has established arrangements for online learning for several types of competitive exams such as IIT. Students can prepare for competitive exams by attending a series of lectures produced by the department. The portal now has 193 physics videos, 218 math films, 146 chemistry videos, and 120 biology movies. Abhyas, a mobile app for test preparation, has been developed. This app will publish one test every day in both English and Hindi for preparation. The lectures for IITPal preparation will be broadcast on Swayam Prabha channel. Channel 22 will be set aside for this purpose.
