PM eVidya Scheme – Details, Importance – UPSC Notes

Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister, has established a PM eVIDYA program for students in light of this. Details of the PM eVidya Scheme

The PM eVidya scheme was developed as part of the One Nation One Digital Platform to safeguard children’s education amid the Covid-19 outbreak. Importance of the PM eVidya scheme

Models Of PM eVIDYA Program

Digital infrastructure for knowledge sharing

Swayam Prabha TV channels

On July 7, 2017, Swayam Prabha TV was launched. It’s a collection of DTH channels dedicated to broadcasting high-quality educational programming. Students can prepare for competitive exams by attending a series of lectures produced by the department. The portal now has 193 physics videos, 218 math films, 146 chemistry videos, and 120 biology movies. Abhyas, a mobile app for test preparation, has been developed. This app will publish one test every day in both English and Hindi for preparation. The lectures for IITPal preparation will be broadcast on Swayam Prabha channel. Channel 22 will be set aside for this purpose.
