National Green Tribunal (NGT) has released a notification regarding recruitment for various posts including that of Assistant (Judicial), Stenographer, Hindi Translator, Librarian, Staff Car Driver, etc. The recruitment drive is for Principal Bench in New Delhi and zonal benches at Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata and Chennai. NGT Eligibility Criteria
Certain criteria has been set by NGT for the recruitment of personnel. Only those who satisfy these criteria will be considered for selection. Let us have a look at the criteria laid down by NGT.
Nationality
Only Indian nationals will be considered.
Educational Qualification
Assistant (Judicial): Should have a Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized university and should have completed six months computer training course from a recognized institute. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Studies as one of the subjects or those who have two years working experience in the field of environment in a government office or public sector undertaking or autonomous or statutory body.
Stenographer Grade I: Should have Bachelors degree from a recognized University and should have completed six months computer training course from a recognized institute. The skill test requirement is dictation for 10 mins at 100 words per minute and and transcription of 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi. Preference will be given to those have a Bachelors degree in Law from a recognized University.
Hindi Translator: Should have a Masters degree in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as medium of examination at degree level from a recognized university. They should also have recognized diploma or certificate course in translation from Hindi to English or vice versa or two years experience of translation work in Central or State government including Government of India undertakings. Preference will be given to those who have a diploma in Computer Applications from a recognized institute
Stenographer Grade II: Should be 12th pass from a recognized Board. The skill test requirement is dictation for 10 mins at 80 words per minute and and transcription of 50 minutes in English and 65 minutes in Hindi.
Staff Car Driver:
- Matriculation from a recognized board.
- Possession on valid driving license for motor cars.
- Experience of driving cars for three or more years.
- Knowledge of motor mechanism
Age Limit
The age criteria for various posts is as mentioned in the table below:

NGT 2022 Application Process
Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before filling the application form. They should ensure that they satisfy all the required criteria.
The application form, duly filled in the prescribed form along with self attested copies of relevant certificates should be sent by speed post so as to reach on or before 5 PM on 25th July 2022. The postal address is as follows:
Registrar General, National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, Faridkot House, Copernicus Marg, New Delhi 110001.
The envelope containing the application must contain the name of the post applied.
