Presidency University Salary 2022

The salary for the various post is as mentioned in the table below:

Apart from the basic pay, employees will be eligible for other allowances as per State Government orders.

Presidency University Eligibility Criteria 2022

The university has laid down certain criteria in order to recruit the most eligible candidates. Applicants should go through the criteria to ensure that they meet all the criteria mentioned by the university. Applications of those who do meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.

Age Limit

Candidates should be between 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as follows:

• Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
• Other Backward Classes (OBC): 3 years
• Those currently serving contractually in this University: According to the resolution of the Governing Board

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for the various posts are as follows:

Junior Library Assistant 

(a) Essential

Bachelor Degree followed by Diploma/Degree in Library Science from a recognized University

(b) Desirable

• Knowledge of Universal Decimal Classifications.
• Knowledge of Computer Application preferably in Librarianship/Library automations
• Minimum one year experience in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning

Technical Assistant Gr.-II

(a) Essential

• B.Sc./BCA/Diploma in Engineering recognized by the State Council of Technical Education.

(b) Desirable

• Minimum one year experience in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning
• MCA/M.Sc. in Computer Science
• Working Experience in web application development / mobile application development / database administration / web design & JS frameworks

OR

• Working Experience in Data Centre, Server Maintenance, Network Security, Network Configuration, Computer Hardware, Library Automation, Server Automation, Network Automation Tool, Periodical Data Backup & Storage Management

Junior Assistant

a) Essential

• Higher secondary or its equivalent examination recognized by the Council of Higher Secondary Education , West Bengal

(b) Desirable

• Three years’ Bachelors’ degree
• Basic knowledge in Computer including the knowledge of word processing/Spread Sheet/ Accounting software from a recognized institute.
• Proficiency in English and knowledge in drafting letters etc / fair knowledge in finance & accounting process.
• Minimum one year experience in official work in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning.

Junior Peon

(a) Essential

• Class VIII standard

(b) Desirable

• Can read/write English
• Minimum one year experience in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning

3. Choose Advertisement Number ‘PU/2022/2/NT/GEN/04’.

Presidency University Selection Process

The university authorities will select eligible candidates through interview. If the number of applications received is large and it is not convenient for the University to interview all the applicants, the number of candidates for interview may be restricted to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications, experience and other credentials or by any other suitable method. The applicants, who are serving contractually this University in the equivalent position, will be exempted from the method of screening in terms of the relevant resolution of the Governing Board.
