The NMAT, also known as NMIMS (Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies) Management Aptitude Test,  is recognised by the Graduate Management Admission Council. Candidates who want to enroll for the NMAT test to be considered for admission to MBA or graduate management programs can do so online.

NMAT is a PG level exam for admission in various management courses like MBA & PGDM offered at NMIMS  University and other renowned B-schools across India. Candidates who need to pursue MBA from NMIMS Mumbai or other top B-schools in India can apply for the national-level MBA entrance test NMAT 2023 which is conducted by GMAC.

To improve the score and a secure admission for MBA this NMAT 2023 entrance test provides multiple chances for the candidates. That means candidates can attempt the NMAT exam conducted by GMAC up to 3 times i.e. one attempt and 2 retakes. The retake attempts are allowed with a gap of 15 days each. In addition to this, the students also have the facility to reschedule the date and time according to their convenience within the 70-day test window. The test will be computer based which tentatively starts from October to December 2023. This test will test the language skills of candidates ,Logic and Quantitative aptitude. The test consists of 108 questions with a duration of 2 hours.

NMAT 2023 – An Overview

NMAT (NMIMS Management Aptitude Test) is a university level entrance examination organized by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC).  The exam will be conducted by GMAC in an online mode. NMAT 2023 registration has started on August 1. Candidates can now create their NMAT by GMAC free login account on the official website mba.com/exams/nmat.

The step-wise NMAT 2023 application process is given below:

1. Visit the official website of NMAT 2023
2. Search and click on the registration option.
3. The new user registration page will open. Enter the details, such as name, mobile number, email address, and country, and set a password.
4. Click on ‘Submit’ button.
5. Once the registration is completed, candidates will receive a confirmation via email.
6. Click on the link from the email and complete the application form.
7. Upload the photo and signature in the specified format.
8. Pay the amount required to apply for the examination.
9. After the application form for NMAT 2023 is successfully submitted, the registration number will be displayed on the screen by GMAC.
10. Save and keep a copy of application form and details for further processing.

NMAT Exam Pattern

NMAT 2023 is a computer-based test that consists of 3 sections –

• Language Skills
• Logical Reasoning
• Quantitative Skills

The overall test duration is 2 hrs. There is an individual time limit for each section. Students can choose the order in which they wish to attempt the paper. All the questions in the NMAT exam are MCQ-type questions. The mode of language for NMAT 2023 is English.

 Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation

It is one of the most important sections in the NMAT entrance as it covers all the conceptual basis of 8-10th class mathematics. This section would not only contain questions based on mathematics but also data interpretation and data sufficiency. This section consists of 36 questions and the allotted time for this section is 52 minutes.

This section consists of 36 questions and the allotted time for this section is 40 minutes.

GMAC will release the NMAT 2023 official admit card a few days before the exam is conducted. Candidates must keep their registration number and details handy to access and download the admit card.

The steps to download the admit card are given below:

1. Visit the official website of NMAT 2023.
2. Search for the link that displays ‘NMAT 2023 Admit Card‘.
3. Enter the login ID and password created during the registration.
4. Click on the option to download the admit card. Check for all the details mentioned in the admit card and download it.

NMAT 2023 –  Selection Process

NMAT selection process includes Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI) rounds which are conducted by the participating institutes. The participating institute might also conduct a WAT (Writing Ability Test) or Case Discussion (CD) round instead of the conventional GD round. The final decision regarding the admission will be based on the candidates’ score in NMAT online test and performance in the interview round.

Q: Can an NMAT test taker review questions and/ or sections?

Ans : No, it is not allowed to review questions in the NMAT exam.

Q: If a test taker answers to one section before the allotted sectional time, will the remaining time be added to the next section(s)?

Ans : No. If the NMAT test taker answers to one section before the allotted section time expires, the reserved time cannot be added to the next section’s allotted time.

Q: How many times can test takers take the NMAT 2023 exam?

Ans :  A candidate can take the NMAT exam up to a maximum of 3 times. There is a mandatory interval of 15 days between the two attempts, so scheduling the exam in advance allows the examiner to plan the reorganization within the test window to improve the scores.

Q: How long can I use my NMAT official practice exams?

Ans : The NMAT Official Practice Exams will be accessible to you as per the End User License Agreement (EULA)

Q: when will be the last date to submit the application form of NMAT 2023?

Ans : The last date to submit the NMAT application form will probably close in the second week of November 2023.

Q: How can I request for cancellation of the NMAT exam and fee refund?

Q: NMAT retake which score is considered?

Ans : Candidates can take 3 NMAT attempts (1 Main and 2 Re-take) and they can use the best score out of three for MBA admission.
