High Court Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2024
The eligibility conditions for the High Court Assistant are as follows:
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks OR Master’s Degree OR Law Degree,
awarded or recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala.
Points to be Noted
- If a candidate possesses only Bachelor Degree with less than 50% marks, he/she is not eligible to apply for the post. Rounding off to the nearest integer is not allowed. (For eg. 49.5% cannot be rounded off to 50%) SC/ST candidates are exempted from the stipulation of minimum 50% marks in the Bachelors’ Degree Course.
- Wherever CGPA/OGPA or letter grade is awarded in a qualifying examination, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by University/Institute where candidate studied. Candidate shall also obtain a certificate to this effect from University/Institute which shall be required at the time of certificate verification.
- Candidates must have acquired all the qualifications on or before the date of closure of filing of online application. The date of passing eligibility examination will be the date appearing on the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute.

High Court Assistant Selection Process 2024
The selection process for the job position will include three rounds of evaluation to ensure that the most suitable candidate is selected. The first round will be an objective-type exam which will be worth 100 marks and will have a duration of 75 minutes. The exam will comprise multiple-choice questions designed to test the candidate’s knowledge and skills in the relevant field.
The second round will be a descriptive exam that will be worth 60 marks and will have a duration of 60 minutes. The exam will require the candidate to write descriptive answers to questions to assess their ability to communicate effectively and express their ideas clearly.
The third and final round will be an interview that will be worth 10 marks. This round will be conducted by the recruitment panel and will provide the opportunity to the candidate to showcase their personality, communication skills, and suitability for the job. The minimum marks for being included in the ranked list will be 35% in the interview.

High Court Assistant Exam Pattern 2024
- The medium of the test will be English.
- The standard of the questions will be that suitable for candidates with Bachelors’ Degree Qualifications.
- To be considered for the interview, candidates need to have scored a minimum of 40% on the Objective Test. However, if too many candidates meet this criterion, the High Court will decide the number of candidates to be included in the Short List based on the number of vacancies, previous appointments, and chances of future vacancies.
- Only the Descriptive Test papers of those candidates who qualify for the shortlist will be evaluated. There is no cut-off mark for the Descriptive Test.
- The marks obtained by the candidates in the Objective Test, Descriptive Test, and Interview will be added together to prepare the final rank list.

All of the selected candidates will receive a monthly paycheck of ₹39300 – 83000/- and other allowances of a Government employee.
Kerala High Court Assistant Admission Tickets/Call Letters for Test/ Interview
- Candidates are advised to log in to their profile on the High Court recruitment portal (www.hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in) to download their Admission Tickets/Call Letters. The Admission Tickets will be available for download three weeks before the date of the test, while the Call Letters for Interview will be available for download two weeks before the interview. Candidates will be intimated through SMS or email.
- In case of any difficulty in downloading the Admission Ticket/Call Letter, candidates should contact the High Court at 0484-2562235. It is important to note that if the High Court does not receive any communication regarding the non-receipt of the Admission Ticket/Call Letter at least one week before the test/interview, the candidate will be solely responsible for any non-receipt. Hence, it is recommended that candidates visit the recruitment portal of the High Court (www.hckrecruitment.keralacourts.in) at least once a week to stay informed about the test/interview schedule.
- Candidates should also keep in mind that their admission to the test/interview will be provisional and subject to verification of all eligibility conditions by the High Court based on the information provided in the application form.
