Exam Pattern
The Group 2A Preliminary Examination is an exam of 3 hours duration comprising of questions from 1) General Studies 2) Aptitude and Mental Ability Test 3) General Tamil/ General English. There shall be 200 questions and the questions shall be allotted among each category as follows.
- General Studies – 75 Questions (Of Degree Standard)
- Aptitude and Mental Ability Test – 25 Questions (Of SSLC Standard)
- General English /General Tamil – 100 Questions (Of SSLC Standard)
As far as the language part is concerned, the candidate can opt for either General English or General Tamil.
