CTET Revised Eligibility 2022
- National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has released revised eligibility criteria for candidates who are pursuing Teacher Training Course(TTC)
- As per NCTE, Candidate who have been admitted and undergoing in any Teacher Training Course(TTC) can be referred as “Pursuing” and they can be eligible to apply for TET Examination.
- Candidate whose appointments are challenged were eligible to appear in TET exam when they are pursuing Teacher Training Course(TTC).
- National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Regulations for eligibility criteria will be followed as previously mentioned.
- Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
- Minimum qualifications laid down in the Recruitment Rules for the teachers by the Appropriate Government where the school is situated or the Recruitment Rules for the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
- Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) does not imply that the candidate’s eligibility has been verified for Recruitment.
- Central Teacher Eligibility Test(CTET) does not vest any right with the candidate for appointment.
- The final eligibility for any teaching recruitment by concerned authority shall be finally verified.
CTET Eligibility 2022 For Paper-I
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education/4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
OR
Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.
OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
OR
Candidates who possessed “Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)” are now eligible for becoming Teachers for Classes I-V: Primary Stage. Such Candidates have to mandatory undergo a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as a primary teacher.

Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET Eligibility 2022 For Paper-II
senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.OR
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education.OR
graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)/B.Ed. (Special Education).OR
graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure).OR
any candidate having a qualified B.Ed Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET.
OR
Post-Graduation candidate with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.
CTET Age Limit
There is no age limit required for the CTET examination. You can attempt a number of times as you want to improve your CTET score.

- There is no age restriction to apply for the CTET exam
CTET Eligibility 2022 For Reserved Category
There is no provision of seat reservations for reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC and PwD candidates)candidates. However, they are granted a relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying exam of the CTET Exam.
CTET 2022: Reservation Criteria
For the General category, Candidates who score 60% marks in the examination will be considered qualified. A good thing for all the appearing candidates is that there is no negative marking for a wrong attempted question.
