APPSC Junior Assistant Vacancy
According to the APPSC, there are a total of 670 vacancies for the post of Junior Assistant cum Computer Assistant. These vacancies are spread over 13 cities as given in the table below:

If the number of applicants exceed 200 times the number of vacancies notified, a screening test will be conducted by the Commission. The objective type examination will be an OMR based one held in offline mode. Candidates will be short listed to the mains CBT Examination in the ratio as may be decided by the Commission.
APPSC Junior Assistant Eligibility Criteria
APPSC will shortlist or consider only those applications in which the candidates satisfy the eligibility criteria put forward by the Commission for the Junior Assistant post. Candidates should therefore have a detailed look at all the criteria before applying for the post. There will be reservations in direct recruitment for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, Economically Weaker Sections, Physically Challenged, Women and Meritorious Sports Persons.
APPSC Junior Assistant: Educational Qualification
- Candidates applying for the APPSC Junior Assistant post should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
- Shortlisted candidates should pass Computer Proficiency Test conducted by the District Collector.
APPSC Junior Assistant: Nationality
APPSC will consider only Indian nationals for the post of APPSC Junior Assistant.
APPSC Junior Assistant: Age Limit
Candidates applying for the post of Junior Assistant should be in the age limit of 18 – 42 year as on 01/07/2021.
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:

APPSC Junior Assistant Selection ProcedureÂ
The Main Examination will be an objective type one and questions are to be answered on computer system. The candidate can choose the medium of exam (English /Telugu). Applicants can familiarize themselves with the exam format by attempting the general Mock Test facility on the Commission’s website. The selection to this recruitment notification will be based on the merit in the Main
Examination.
APPSC Junior Assistant Application Fee
All applicants must pay an application fee of Rs. 250 as application processing fee and Rs 80 as examination fee. Candidates belonging to the following categories are exempted from payment of
examination fee only:
- SC, ST, BC, PH & Ex-Service Men.
- Families having household supply white card issued by Civil Supplies Department, A.P.
Government. (Residents of Andhra Pradesh) - Un-employed youth as per G.O.Ms.No.439, G.A (Ser- A) Dept
These exemptions are applicable to only those belonging to Andhra Pradesh.
Application fee should be paid online using payment gateway using net banking/ credit card / debit card.
How to Apply for the APPSC Junior Assistant Post
Candidates can follow the steps given below to submit their online applications.
- First time candidates should register his/her bio-data particulars through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) on the Commission’s official website ‘https://psc.ap.gov.in’. While filling the OTPR, candidates have to ensure that the particulars are filled correctly. Once the applicant registers his/her particulars, a user ID is generated and sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
- Candidates who have already registered should login to the Commission’s website, with their registered OTPR number.
- The applicant should then click on the “Online Application Submission” present in the bottom right corner of the Commission’s website.
- The applicant should then do the payment by clicking on the payment link against the notification number that he wants to apply.
- Check whether all the data filled is correct and submit the payment form.
- On successful submission, the payment reference ID will be generated and displayed on the screen. Click “OK” and the applicant will be shown various payment options.
- Complete the payment process as given on the screen.
- Once the payment is successful, a payment reference ID will be generated. Candidates should note the payment reference ID for future correspondence.
- Applicants will then be directed to the application form. Here the applicant should provide the payment reference Id and other details required for filling the application form.
- Once the application is submitted successfully, an application receipt is generated. Applicants are requested to print and save the application receipt for future correspondence.
- Applicants should regularly visit the Commission’s website regularly to keep himself / herself updated until completion of the recruitment process.
- Only online applications will be accepted.
