APPSC
As its abbreviation indicates, APPSC is the acronym of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission is a constitutional body formed under Govt. of Andhra Pradesh which was formed along with the first linguistic state, Andhra Pradesh on 1956. It is for the purpose of recruitment for various posts under Govt, of AP, this body was formed with its HQ at Vijayawada, the second largest and populous city known as the ‘Business capital of Andhra Pradesh’.
Article 315 established under Indian Constitution is the base for the establishment of PSCs, and their functions are enumerated widely under Article 320.
Other than the recruitment as its main functionary area, there are some statutory functions for the State PSC s, including Disciplinary cases and regulations, Reimbursement of legal expenses ,Wound and extraordinary pension cases, direct recruitment and recruitment through transfer etc.

TNPSC
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission, under the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, is functioning for the recruitment of personnel to the government services. TNPSC is the successor of first Provisional Public Service Commission of India the Madras Public Service Commission, formed on 1929 under Madras Legislature Act. This PSC adopted its official name as TNPSC on 1970 with its HQ at Chennai ( old Madras ). The need for commission is to advise the Government in formulation and amendment of recruitment rules, criteria in making appointments and promotions and transfers from services to service, in spite of code of conduct matters affecting government servants and to conduct examinations for direct recruitment to the State, Subordinate level and Ministerial Services.
