Birmingham 2022 will include 203 athletes or players, including 108 men and 105 women. Medal winners at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics include the men’s hockey team, Neeraj Chopra, PV Sindhu, Mirabai Chanu, and Lovlina Borgohain.
Badminton, boxing, cricket, athletics, judo, wrestling, squash, cycling, weightlifting, hockey, swimming, triathlon, and table tennis will all have Indian competitors. Cricket and hockey draws have already been completed. The T20 format of cricket will exclusively be available to women.
The women’s cricket squad, which qualified based on the ICC rankings, has been placed in Group A with bitter rivals Pakistan, Australia, and Barbados. Meanwhile, Group B was assigned to New Zealand, South Africa, England, and Sri Lanka.
