The CTET September 2026 session (22nd edition) has been revised to 12–13 December 2026, after being postponed from its original date of 6 September 2026. The exam is offline, OMR-based, 150 MCQs, 150 marks, no negative marking, 2.5 hours per paper. Qualifying marks: 90/150 (60%) for General/OBC, 82/150 (55%) for SC/ST/PwD.

1. Child Development and Pedagogy (CDP) — 30 Marks in Both Papers
This is the single highest-leverage section since it’s common to Paper 1 and Paper 2, and it’s pure concept — no textbook to “finish,” just theory to master.
What to cover: Piaget’s cognitive development theory, Vygotsky (socio-cultural theory, ZPD), Kohlberg’s moral development, the heredity-vs-environment debate, multiple intelligence theory, inclusive education and children with special needs, socialisation, individual differences, and assessment methods (formative vs. summative).

CTET Previous Year Question Papers (PYQs)
Solving PYQs does two things: it shows you the actual difficulty level and phrasing CBSE uses, and it reveals which topics repeat most often (heredity vs. environment debates in CDP, HCF/LCM and fractions in Maths, CCE and inclusive-education questions almost every cycle). Aim to solve at least the last 5 years of both Paper 1 and Paper 2 PYQs, subject-wise, before attempting full mocks. Don’t just check answers — go back to the NCERT chapter or concept behind every question you got wrong.
Mock Tests & Full-Length Practice
