Department of Telecommunication (DOT) has released the DOT Recruitment 2021 notification for the post Consultant Group-B & Consultant SDE vacancies on 18th and 15th January respectively. The eligible candidates can apply by filling the application from the official site and send the application to the Director (Admn) address by postal. The last date for the application for Consultant Group-B is 08th March 2021 and that for the Consultant SDE is 18th February 2021.

Age Limit
The Candidate should not be more than 64 years of age on the date of this engagement.
Educational Qualification
SDE cadre: Retired officers of DoT/other Central Government departments/BSNL/ MTNL having knowledge of TERM Cell works or maintaining/planning/ Basic Telecom/ Mobile/ NGN/ Computer Network and computer knowledge as detailed below as consultant in this office. The candidate should be a graduate in Science/Engineering /Equivalent. The appointment will be with effect from 01.04.2021.
Consultant Group B: Government servants/ retired officials of PSUs or Research Organizations/ Consultant in AD/JTO level Retired AD/JTO. Preference will be given to applicants from DOT/BSNL/MTNL background.
Period of Engagement: Initial contract would be for a period of 6 months extendable further up to a maximum of six terms (six months each) or sixty-five years of age.

Selection process
SDE cadre: A selection committee shall be constituted for this purpose
Consultant Group B: A selection panel will be constituted. Candidates will be shortlisted and a personal interaction/ interview will be carried out for these candidates.
