DRDO RAC Scientist Job position 2020 Notification is released now. From the official notification, we can understand that almost 185 Scientist B vacancies in different categories are available in DRDO. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the post and can make use of this unique chance to be a scientist and research fellow. Eligibility Criteria of DRDO 2020
The candidates should check out the eligibility criteria and instructions before applying for the post. Here is the age limit and education qualifications required by the applicant.
Age Limit
- Un Reserved (UR) /EWS 28 years
- OBC (Non-creamy layer) 31 years
- SC/ST 33 years
- Relaxation in upper age limit (As per Govt rules): (a) Upto 10 years for PwD (HH) and PwD(OH) candidates in the * marked disciplines.
- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for serving Central Civilian Govt. employees working in posts which are in the same line or allied cadres only if a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts.

Nationality
The applicants must be an Indian Citizen.
Educational Qualification
The applicants who are appearing or have appeared in the final year/semester examination, or whose final examinations have been delayed and are expecting to achieve First Class after final examination. The candidates must have a valid GATE score card or NET Score card.
- Electronics & Comm. Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Mechanical Engineering: At least First Class Graduate Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Computer Science & Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Electrical Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Material Science & Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology in Metallurgy from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Physics: At least First Class Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Chemistry: At least First Class Master’s Degree in Chemistry from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Chemical Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Aeronautical Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Mathematics: At least First Class Master’s Degree in Mathematics from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Civil Engineering: At least First Class Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent.
- Psychology: At least First Class Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized university or equivalent.
Application fee and Mode of Payment
General (UR), EWS and OBC male candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable and non-transferable application fee of Rs. 100/– which should paid online only. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PwD and women candidates.

How to Apply for DRDO?
- Eligible candidates can apply for Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) Recruitment 2020 through the prescribed application format on or before 10 July 2020.
- Candidates are required to register online at the RAC website. After successful registration, the candidates can login and complete the application form online.
- The candidates are required to upload the essential certificates.
- Candidates are advised to retain a copy of the online recruitment application (PDF format) after locking the online application form.
- Only completed or finalized applications in all aspects shall be considered for the selection process.
- Shortlisted candidates shall be able to download their admit card for the Descriptive Examination (Only for Part-I disciplines) /call letter for interview respectively along with its venue, date & time after successful registration through RAC website. Intimation in this regard shall be sent as SMS on the registered mobile number of the candidate.
