Gujarat SET 2022 Registration Process Begins; Check Steps to Apply

Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, which the authorized agency of he state government for SET, has commenced the registrations for Gujarat State Eligibility Test 2022 on 29th August, 2022. Interested candidates can register through the official website — gujaratset.ac.in until 28th September, 2022. The SET examination for 25 subjects is scheduled be conducted on Sunday, 6th November, 2022. Paper I will be conducted from 9.30 AM to 10.30 PM and Paper II will be for two hours- from 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM.

Gujarat SET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must ensure that they satisfy all the criteria laid by the Committee. Read on know to more about the criteria:

Age Limit

There is no age limit for candidates applying for the GSET 2022 exam provided they have a Master’s degree from a UGC-recognized university.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have scored at least 55% marks in Postgraduation from a recognized university in Science, Humanities (including languages) and Social Science, Computer Science and Applications. Those belonging to reserved category should have scored at least 50%.
• The subjects studied by the candidate in Postgraduation must be mentioned in the Paper II Subject list.
• Students appearing for the final year exams in Postgraduation are also eligible to apply for the GSET 2022 exam.

Note: The reservation policy for the GSET examination is as per the Gujarat Government. Central Government OBC certificate is not acceptable from the candidates belonging to SEBC of Gujarat state. Candidates from states other than Gujarat belonging to reserved categories will be treated as General category candidates.

Gujarat SET 2022: How to Apply?

Candidates must read the eligibility criteria and ensure that they are eligible to apply for GSET. There are two main steps in the application process: Examination Fee Payment and Registering Online.

Fee Payment

Step 1: Visit the official website of GSET — gujaratset.ac.in

Step 2: Follow the instructions on the screen for the payment of fee.

Step 3: Print the fee receipt generated after successful transaction.

Step 4: Pay the examination fee and submit the application forms.

Step 5: Not down the Order Number and SBI ePay Reference ID.

Online Registration for GSET Exam

Step 1: Candidates must possess the scanned passport (pp) size photograph in JPEG format and should not be more than 100kb.

Step 2: Visit the official website of GSET — gujaratset.ac.in

Step 3: Provide the Order Number and SBIepay Reference ID to “LOGIN” to your account for filling up the Application Form for GSET Examination by clicking “Step 2-Register Online for GSET” button available under candidate’s Login Account.

Step 4: Carefully fill in the online application form by following the on screen instructions. Once the form is submitted, no corrections will be allowed.

Step 5: Submit the application form.

Step 6: Take a print out for future reference.

Application Fee

• General, General-EWS and SEBC- Non Creamy Layer: Rs. 900
• Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Transgender: Rs. 100
• PwD: Rs. 100

GSET 2022 Exam Pattern

GSET Examination will consist of two papers – Paper I and Paper II. It is compulsory for candidates to appear in both the papers. A candidate who does not appear in paper-I, will not be permitted to appear in paper-II. Both the papers will consist of only objective type, multiple choice questions. The questions in both the papers will be asked in both Gujarati and English versions (except for languages and science subjects). Questions of Language paper will be in respective language and Science subjects will be in English. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Paper I: This paper shall consist of 50 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks. The questions which will be of general nature, intended to assess the teaching/ research aptitude of the candidate. It will primarily be designed to test reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the candidate.

Paper II: This paper shall consist of 100 objective type compulsory questions each carrying 2 marks which will be based on the subject selected by the candidate.
