Haryana Judiciary Syllabus 2021 – Check Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The candidates holding a degree of Bachelor of Laws from a Recognized University by the law and approved by the Bar Council Of India can apply for the Civil Judge post till 15th February 2021. Interested and eligible applicants can submit their application online portal of HPSC. As the part of Recruitment to Subordinate Judicial Service Selection Committee of Punjab and Haryana High Court, they will select the candidates through three step process such as:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Written Examination
- Viva-Voce
Preliminary Exam Pattern and Syllabus
- The Preliminary examination shall be Objective in type (Multiple Choice Questions).
- There will be 125 questions for 600 marks.
- Each question carries 04 marks and for every wrong answers 0.80 marks will be deducted.
- There will be no negative marking for un-attempted questions.
- And the total duration of the examination will be 02 hours.

Mains Exam Pattern
The candidates who qualifies from the Prelims exam will be selected for the Mains examination. The objective of the Preliminary Examination is to shortlist the candidates for the Main Examination. No candidate shall be allowed to appear in the Main Examination unless he/she secured minimum 150 marks (read 100 marks for all reserved category candidates) in the Preliminary examination. The candidate who qualifies from the Preliminary Examination will have to apply again on separate application form for the Main Examination and which will be notified on the HPSC website.

VI | Viva Voce | To judge the personal qualities of the candidates. The viva-voce shall relate to the matters of general interest and is intended to test the candidates’ alertness, intelligence and general outlook. it shall be conducted in English. |
- Main Written Examination will be subjective/narrative type.
- Main Examination will be conducted in English Medium except for language paper.
- Bare copies of legislative enactments only shall be supplied.
- Each written paper shall be of three hours duration.
Language Paper (Total 100 marks) consists of:
- Translation of an English Passage into Hindi, which is of 20 marks.
- Explanation of Hindi passage in Prose and poetry in the same language for 30 marks.
- Composition (Essay), Idioms and Corrections for 50 marks.
