How to Reschedule OET Exam?
You can reschedule or cancel your OET exam through your OET account. The procedure and fees depend on your test type and location.
OET on Paper at a Venue
- Log into your OET account.
- Click the small arrow in the Action column under the My applications section then click Defer.
- Choose your new test date and/or venue and click confirm.
Note:
- You can reschedule your test in your OET account up to 23:59 pm the day before the test or on test day using the ‘Test Day Deferral form’. Requests submitted via the form will be subject to approval. You have to make sure that you haven’t registered for your test at the test venue.
- You can only reschedule all sub-tests together in a test booking.
- Once your test has been rescheduled, it cannot be reversed.
OET on Computer at a venue/ OET@Home
- Log into your OET account.
- Click on the My Bookings tab.
- Locate the test booking you wish to reschedule and click Reschedule Booking.
- You will be asked to reschedule Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking or the Speaking sub-test only. Select the desired option.
- Choose the desired date.
- Confirm your new dates and proceed to the payment page.
Notes:
- You can reschedule your test up to two days before the start of your first sub-test, subject to a fee and conditions.
- You can reschedule all four sub-tests together or, for OET on Computer/ OET@Home only, you can reschedule the Speaking sub-test only.
- If you have already taken one sub-test you cannot request to reschedule your remaining sub-tests.
- If you want to reschedule your test to a different country, you have to contact OET Customer Care team.
Fees to Reschedule OET Exam

The fee to reschedule OET exam depends on your test type, venue and date.
OET on Paper at a venue:
Bookings close 24 days before the test date.
- If you reschedule before bookings close for your original test date, the rescheduling fee is AU$120.
- If you reschedule after bookings close for your original test date, the rescheduling fee is AU$200.
OET on Computer at a venue/ OET@Home:
Bookings close 7 days before the test date.
- If you reschedule before bookings close for your original test date, the rescheduling fee is AU$120
- If you reschedule after bookings close, the rescheduling fee is AU$200
OET on Computer at a venue/OET@Home:
Bookings close 7 days before the test date.
- If you reschedule before bookings close for your original test date, the rescheduling fee is AU$120.
- If you reschedule after bookings close, the rescheduling fee is AU$200.

How to Cancel OET Exam?
The cancellation process depends on the type of test. Please take care when cancelling your OET Test, as once it is done, it cannot be reversed.
OET on Paper at a venue:
- Log into your OET account
- Find the booking you wish to cancel and click Withdraw
- You can cancel your OET Test for a refund up to one week before test day.
OET on Computer at a venue/ OET@Home:
- Log into your OET account
- On your dashboard, click My Bookings on the left-hand side
- Find the booking you wish to cancel and click Cancel booking
- You can cancel your test for a refund up to two days before the test.
Refund for Cancelling OET Exam
The amount that will be refund will reflect the cancellation fees. The cancellation fee depends on your test type, where you take the test and when to cancel your test.
For OET on Paper at a venue:
- If you cancel before bookings close, the cancellation fee is AU$120 (plus the AU$7 non-refundable booking fee).
- If you cancel after bookings close, the cancellation fee is AU$200 (plus the AU$7 non-refundable booking fee)
Cancellations submitted before the closing date:
If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) before the booking closing date, your refund will be AU$460. If your test contains less than 4 sub-tests, we’ve listed the refunds below:
- 1 sub-test: AU$188
- 2 sub-tests: AU$288
- 3 sub-tests:AU$388
Cancellations submitted after the closing date:
If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) after the booking closing date, your refund will be AU$380. If your test contains less than 4 sub-tests, we’ve listed the refunds below:
- 1 sub-test: AU$108
- 2 sub-tests: AU$208
- 3 sub-tests: AU$308
OET on Computer at a venue/ OET@Home:
- If you cancel before bookings close, the cancellation fee is AU$120
- If you cancel after bookings close, the cancellation fee is AU$200
If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) before the booking closing date, your refund will be AU$460.
If you cancel the full OET Test (four sub-tests) after the booking closing date (until two days before test day), your refund will be AU$380.
