IGM Kolkata Recruitment 2022: Salary

The scale of pay as in IDA pattern for both the posts is given below:

Engraver: Rs.23910- 85570 (3rd PRC along with other allowances).

Junior Office Assistant: Rs.21540- 77160 (3rd PRC along with other allowances).

IGM Kolkata Recruitment 2022: Eligibility

Educational Qualification: 

Engraver, Level -B-4 – Must posses Bachelor of Fine Arts (Sculpture/Metal Works) with at least 55% marks.

Junior Office Assistant, Level-B-3 – Should be a Graduate with at least 55% marks and computer knowledge with typing speed on computer of @ 40 words per minute in English or @ 30 wpm in Hindi.

Age Limit

The candidates should be between the age of 18 to 28 years as on 7 June 2022.

Note: Age relaxation will be allowed as per government norms.

Application  Fee:

The application fee is INR 600/- for the post of Engraver and Junior Office Assistant for all the categories.

SC/ST/PWD aspirants need not pay any application fees, however they must pay an intimation cost of INR. 200/- for each post.

IGM Kolkata Recruitment 2022: Exam Pattern

Jr. Office Assistant at B-3 Level

Selection will be done in 02 phases:

Phase 1: First Computer based English or Hindi typing  test will be conducted. Typing test will be only of qualifying nature.

The speed desired will be for English @ 40 wpm or Hindi @30 wpm.

Phase 2: Those aspirants who qualify English or Hindi Typing Test (English @ 40 wpm/Hindi @30 wpm) on Computer will be called for online examination.

• The Objective type Online examination will consists of tests on Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General awareness  and English Language.
• Total marks of the online test is There will be no negative marking for this examination.
• The duration of this testis 120 minutes.

•  The Scores of Online Exam will be obtained by adopting the following procedure for the posts of Jr. Office Assistant at B-3 Level : ·
  • Number of questions answered correctly by an aspirant in each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score. ·
  • In the Selection process, an aspirant has to obtain high marks in the test and rank sufficiently higher as the final merit list will be prepared by the marks obtained in the online examination only. ·
  • No negative marking.
  • No sectional cut offs.
  • The minimum qualifying marks or cut off marks (applied on total score) required to consider for placement in different categories are:
    • UR /EWS Category 55%
    • OBC Category 50%
    • SC/ST Category 45%

Merely qualifying in the online examination will not entitle an aspirant to appointment to the posts of B-3 Level in IGM, Kolkata.

Engraver at B-4 Level

Selection  will be done on the basis of online examination

• Exam will be of objective type.
• Professional knowledge (of the respective branch), General Awareness, English Language, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude.
• Total marks of the online exam will be 125.
• There will be no negative marking for wrong answer for online exam.
• The duration of the examination is 120 minutes.
• The details are as under in tabular format:

• The Scores of Online Exam will be obtained by adopting the following procedure for the posts of Engraver at B-4 Level: ·
  • Number of questions answered correctly by a aspirantin each objective test is considered for arriving at the Corrected Score. ·
  • In the Selection process, an aspiranthas to obtain high marks in the test and rank sufficiently higher as the final merit list will be drawn by the marks obtained in the online examination only. ·
  • No negative marking.
