Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota (SDSC SHAR) has released a recruitment notification for Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). Interested candidates can go through the eligibility criteria and apply online through the official website – sdsc.shar.gov.in . The registration process begins on 6th August, 2022 and applications can be submitted until 28th August, 2022.

ISRO Teacher Salary 2022
ISRO pays a handsome renumeration to all it’s employees. The pay differs based on the post and the post wise pay scale for teacher is as follows:
- Post Graduate Teachers – Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100
- Trained Graduate Teachers – Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100
- Primary Teachers – Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400
ISRO Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2022
A set of criteria has been laid by ISRO for the recruitment of teachers. Only those applicants who satisfy all the required criteria will be considered for the selection process. Applications of those who do not meet the criteria are bound to be rejected.
Educational Qualification
Post Graduate Teacher (PGT): Applicants should have Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate, in Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics OR Integrated Post Graduate with at least 50% marks in aggregate. They should also have B. Ed / equivalent degree from a recognized University and proficiency to teach in English medium.
Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT): Applicants should have completed four years integrated degree course with at least 50% marks in aggregate OR four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in Hindi, with at least 50% marks in aggregate. They should also have B. Ed/ equivalent degree from a recognized University and should be CTET qualified and proficiency to teach in English medium.
Primary Teacher: Senior Secondary/ equivalent with at least 50% marks and two year Diploma in Elementary Education / equivalent OR Senior Secondary / equivalent with at least 50% marks and four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) OR Senior Secondary / equivalent with at least 50% marks and four year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). They should be CTET Qualified and proficiency to teach in English medium.
Age Limit
- Post Graduate Teacher- 18 to 40 years
- Trained Graduate Teacher – 18 to 35 years
- Primary Teacher – 18 to 30 years

ISRO Teacher Recruitment 2022: Application Process
- Applicants should go through the official notification and ensure that they satisfy all the required criteria.
- Visit the official website – shar.gov.in
- In the homepage, click on the ‘Careers’ tab at the top of the page.
- Click on the application link against the ‘Post Graduate Teachers, Trained Graduate Teachers and Primary Teachers’.
- A registration page will open. Register by filling in the required information.
- Click on register. This will create an user ID and password. Note down the login credentials as this is needed to login.
- Using the login credentials access the ISRO Teacher Recruitment 2022 application form.
- Carefully fill in the form with all the required details and attach required documents.
- Pay the application fee.
- Submit the form.
- Take a print out for future references.
Application Fee
There is a non-refundable Application Fee of Rs 250 for each application. Initially all candidates have to pay Rs 750 per application as Processing fee. The Processing fee will be refunded to candidates who appear in the written test.

ISRO Teacher Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
The selection of eligible candidates will be done in two stages:
- Written Test
- Skill Test
Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test, generally in 1:7 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies. The final selection will be made on the basis of marks scored in the written test of those candidates who have cleared the skill test.
