ITBP GDMO Recruitment Notification 2021: The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is conducting the recruitment interview session for the post of General Duty Medical Officers (GDMO) and Specialists for various locations/ formations across the country. Around 88 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment procedure. The selection of the candidate would be based on the performance in the interview. The initial period of contract of the employment would be for 3 years which may be extended by the ITBP for further 2 years. On a year-to-year basis, the contract will be extended to the maximum age limit of 70 years.

Educational & Professional Qualification
Specialist
- A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part 2 of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of the educational qualifications included in Part 2 or third schedules should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in a subsection of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- The candidate must have completed a post-graduation degree in the required field.
- Experience: 1½ years experience for post-graduation degree holders and 2½ years experience for diploma holders in the concerned specialty field after obtaining post-graduation or diploma or equivalent.

General Duty Medical Officer
- General Duty Medical Officer’s (GDMO) – A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part 2 of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Holders of the educational qualifications included in Part 2 or third schedules should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in a subsection of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- The candidate must have completed a rotating internship after the successful completion of the concerned program.

Salary Package
The consolidated remuneration to be paid to the contractual appointee is as follows:
- Specialist – INR 85,000 per month
- General Duty Medical Officer (GDMO) – INR 75,000 per month
This consolidated amount shall remain fixed for the whole tenure of the contract period which is limited to three years.
