There are a total of nine vacancies as posted by KSSRDI. The number of vacancies in each of the posts are as follows:

Scientist C – 2

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria

KSSRDI has strictly laid down criteria regarding the eligibility of candidates applying for the posts. Only those candidates who fulfill these criteria will be shortlisted. Read on to know more about the eligibility criteria.

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Educational Qualification

Scientist C

Insect Pathology and Pest Management:

• M.Sc. First Class in Sericulture/ Zoology or M.Sc.(Agri) Entomology.
• Doctoral Degree in Sericulture/ Entomology/ Zoology with specialization in Insect Pathology/       Microbiology.
• Post Doctoral Research experience of five years in Entomology/ Insect Pathology/ Microbiology/ Pest Management.

Chemical Processing and By Product Utilization and Industrial Management

• First Class in  M. Tech. in Textile Technology/ Textile Science/ Textile Chemistry/ Fiber Science Industrial Management.
• Five years experience in Textile Industry/ Research.
• Desirable P.HD in above subjects

Scientist B

Insect Physiology/ Silkworm Breeding/ Silk Reeling and Silk Throwing and Weaving 

• M.Sc. First Class in Sericulture/ Zoology or M.Sc.(Agri) Entomology.
• P.HD. in above subjects and specialization in Silkworm Physiology and Bio-chemistry.

OR

• First Class M. Tech. in Textile Technology/ Textile Engineering.
• Two  Years experience in Insect Pathology/ Bio-chemistry/ or Textile Industry/ Research.

Senior Research Assistants

Moriculture: M.Sc. First Class in Sericulture/ Botany M.Sc. (Agri), Plant Science.

Sericulture: M.Sc. First Class in Sericulture/ Zoology/ Entomology or M.Sc. (Agri.) in Entomology/ Sericulture.

Silk Technology: B.Tech./ BE (Textile)/ B.Sc. Tech. (Textile Chemistry)/ B.Tech. in Silk Technology.

Second Division Assistants: P.U.C. or equivalent qualification.

Senior Research Helpers:

Moriculture: M.Sc., I Class in Sericulture/Botany M.Sc.(Agri),Plant Science.
Sericulture: M.Sc., I Class in Sericulture/ Zoology/ Entomology or M.Sc. (Agri.) in
Entomology/ Sericulture.
Silk Technology: B.Tech./ BE (Textile)/ B.Sc. Tech. (Textile Chemistry)/ B.Tech. in Silk Technology.
Desirable P.HD. in above subjects

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Age Limit

The age limit for candidates set by KSSRDI is as follows:

Post of Scientist C: The maximum age limit is 45 years for general category and 50 years for Scheduled Caste (SC).

Post of Scientist B: The maximum age limit is 40 years for Scheduled Caste

Senior Research Assistant: The maximum age limit for general category, women and rural is 35 years and 40 years for Scheduled Caste (SC). The age limit for Category II A is 38 years.

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Salary

The pay scale provided by KSSRDI for the current vacancies are as follows:

Scientist C: Rs. 56800 -Rs. 99600

Scientist B: Rs. 52650- Rs 97100

Senior Research Assistants: Rs. 27650 – Rs. 52650

Second Division Assistants:  Rs. 21400 – Rs. 42000

Senior Research Helpers: Rs. 27650 – Rs. 52650

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Application Fee

The application fee for applying for the available vacancies are as follows:

• SC/ ST candidates: Rs. 250
• Category 1 candidates: Rs. 500
• General Candidates: Rs. 1000

The application fee should be paid as postal order.

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Documents Required

1. Certified transfer certificate or copy of the certificate.

KSSRDI Recruitment 2022 Application Process

Applicants should go through the  official notification and ensure that they are eligible before applying. Application forms should be sent on or before 4 p.m. on 28th February, 2022. Application forms should be accompanied by all the mandatory documents. The address to which the application form should be sent is mentioned in the official notification. If the applicant wishes to apply for more than one post, they can do so by sending separate application forms.
