It is situated near the Yamuna River behind the red fort. Mahatma Gandhi was the front line warrior of the Indian Freedom struggle. His Ahimsa principle-based freedom agitation gave Indian freedom struggle a new form and manner. He is known as the Father of Indian nation. Many of the Indian State governance principles and constitutional provisions have been drafted based on his life values and visions. His autobiography is called the Story of My Experiments with the Truth. He has been killed by a religious lunatic named Naduram Godse. His honorary crematorium or the memorial place is Raj Ghat.

Shanti Van: Jawahar Lal Nehru

Situated in: New Delhi

Died on: 27 May 1964

Known For: The first Prime Minister of Independent India

Jawahar Lal Nehru was the first prime minister of independent India. He was also a freedom fighter and leader who predominantly gave leadership to the Indian struggle for independence along with Mahatma Gandhi. He was having a long vision about the freedom struggle as well as for the state administration and governance. He is known as the architect of Modern India. In his regime many institutions such as PSUs IITs Research institutes, planning commission five-year plans etc have been developed. His notable works include the Discovery of India.

Shakti Sthal: Indira Gandhi

Situated in: New Delhi 

Died On: 31st October 1984

Known For: Indian Prime Minister/ Daughter of Jawahar Lal Nehru

The memorial place of the famous Indian Leader Indira Gandhi is called shakti sthal. She is the first lady prime minister or rather I would say the only lady prime minister. She is the daughter of the former Indian prime minister Shri Jawahar Lal Nehru. She is known as the iron lady of India which is an attribute given to the strong character of her. She is one of the strongest and bravest prime ministers that India has ever seen. On her regime India has experienced the National emergency. An abundant level of criticism and appreciation has been carried out by Indra Gandhi. She is also called by the name Priyadharshini. On 31st October 1984 she was assassinated by her security guard. Vijay Ghat: Lal Bahadur Shastri

Situated in: Delhi 

Died on: 11th Januvary 1966

Known For: Freedom Fighter/Former Prime Minister

Vijya Ghat is the memorial place of the famous Indian leader Lal Bahadur Shasthri. Lal Bahadur Shasthri has rendered his impeccable service at the Indian freedom struggle. He is one of the persons known for the triplet called Lal-Bal-Pal. He was the prime minister of India during the period of the years 1964-66. In his period, he gave the initiative of the white revolution which increased the supply of the milk production in the country. White revolution was happened in his regime by the person Varghese Kurian who is known as the father of white revolution.

Abhay Ghat:  Morarji Desai

Situated in: Ahmedabad 

Died on: 10th April 1955

Known for: Freedom Fighter/Former Prime minister

Morarji Desai’s Memorial place is called Abhay Ghat. Morarji Desai was a famous Indian leader for India’s freedom struggle. He later became the prime minister of India in 1977. He was a part of the congress and held the office of the Minister of finance and all. He stepped back from congress and joined Janata party and became the first non-congress prime minister of India. he is the oldest prime minister of India to hold the office at the age of 81 years. After India conducted the nuclear test in 1974 at the time Indra Gandhi in Pokhran, he tried his level best to maintain the peace level between the countries like Pakistan and China. He was honoured the highest civilian award of the Pakistan Nishan e Pakistan.

Veer Bhumi: Rajiv Gandhi

Situated in: Delhi

Died On: 21st May 1991

Known for: Former Prime minister/ Son of Indira Gandhi

Veer Bhumi  is the memorial place of the former prime minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi. Rajiv Gandhi is the son of Indira Gandhi. He was the youngest Prime minister to hold the office at the age of 40. He took the office after the assassination of his mother former prime minister shri Indira Gandhi. Before he took the office of the prime minister he had been serving in the Indian Air Force. He was also assassinated in bombings.
