Start-up India Seed Fund Scheme
The Start-up India Seed Fund Scheme is a new scheme launched as part of the start-up India initiative. The start-up India initiative was formulated with 19 action key points by the honourable prime minister of India in January 2016. One of the important points in the 19 action key points is to create an eco-system for the start-ups. Understanding the importance of drawing easy capital for entrepreneurs is important in creating an ecosystem for start-ups. The prime minister launched the Start-Up India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) in 2021 April. Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Nidhi (PMSSN) is a scheme launched by the Indian government in 2021 on 10th March. The scheme operates as a single non lapsable reserve fund for share of health proceeds of Health and Education Cess levied under Section 136-b of Finance Act, 2007. The sailent features of PMSSN are listed as below:
- It will be operated as a non-lapsable reserve fund for Health in the Public Account;
- The proceeds of share of health in the Health and Education Cess will be credited into PMSSN;
- Accruals into the PMSSN will be utilized for the flagship schemes of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare such as AB-PMJAY, AB-HWCs, NHM, PMSSY
- Administration and maintenance of the PMSSN is entrusted to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare; and
- In any financial year, the expenditure on such schemes of the MoHFW would be initially incurred from the PMSSN and thereafter, from Gross Budgetary Support (GBS)
PM AatmaNirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana
PM AatmaNirbhar Swasth Bharat Yojana is a scheme announced as part of the budget speech in the financial year 2021-22. This scheme of Indian Government 2021 will be an addition to the National Health Mission (NHM). The salient features of the scheme are:
- support for 17,788 rural Health and Wellness Centres in in 10 High Focus States
- Establishing 11,024 urban Health and Wellness Centres in all the States.
- Setting up of Integrated Public Health Labs in all districts and 3382 Block Public Health Units in11 High Focus states;
- Establishing Critical Care Hospital Blocks in 602 districts and 12 Central Institutions;
- Strengthening of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), its 5 regional branches and 20 metropolitan health surveillance units;
- Expansion of the Integrated Health Information Portal to all States/UTs to connect all public health labs;
- Operationalisation of 17 new Public Health Units and strengthening of 33 existing Public Health Units at Points of Entry, that is at 32 Airports, 11 Seaports and 7 land crossings;
- Setting up of 15 Health Emergency Operation Centres and 2 mobile hospitals; and
- Setting up a national institution for One Health, a Regional Research Platform for WHO South East Asia Region, 9 Biosafety Level III laboratories and 4 regionalNational Institutes for Virology.
Mission Poshan 2.0
The Mission Poshan 2.0 is scheme of Indian government 2021 announced by Nirmala Sitharaman the finance minister in order to reduce the backsliding of the nutrition distribution. It will be worked together with the Integrated Child Development program (ICDS)- anganwadi workers and Poshan Abhiyaan scheme. As a difference from the Poshan abhiyaan as new software toolkit called Poshan Tracker will be used to track the streamline supply side of scheme instead of the old ICDS CAS (common Application software) used in Poshan Abhiyaan. Indegeious medical system AYUSH will be incorporated as a key part of the scheme.

Jal Jeevan Mission (Urban)
Jal Jeevan Mission Urban is a Scheme of Indian government 2021 announced by the finance minister as part of the union budget in the financial year 2021. The main aim of the scheme of Indian government 2021 is the universal coverage of water supply in every household. The scheme will go as part of the Sustainable development goal-6 formulated by the UNEDP. The salient features of the scheme will include:

The Urban Swachh Bharat Mission 2.0 is a scheme of Indian government 2021 launched by the finance minister on the occasion of the union budget under Health and Wellbeing vertical. The salient features of the scheme includes:
- Implement Sustainable sanitation (construction of toilets)
- Operate Wastewater treatment, including faecal sludge management in all ULBs with less than 1 lakh population (this is a new component added to SBM-U 2.0)
- Aims to tackle Solid Waste Management
- Information, Education and Communication, (IEC)
- Aims to Capacity building.
The expected achievements of this scheme of Indian Government 2021 is:
- All statutory towns will become ODF+ certified (Open Defecation Free)
- All statutory towns with less than 1 lakh population will become ODF++ certified
- 50% of all statutory towns with less than 1 lakh population will become Water+ certified
- All statutory towns will be at least 3-star Garbage Free rated as per MoHUA’s Star Rating Protocol for Garbage Free cities
- Bioremediation of all legacy dumpsites.
Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA) scheme
The Mega Investment Textiles Parks (MITRA) scheme is announced by the union finance minister in the union budget 2021 in order to upgrade the Textile industry, a globally competent market, attract large investment, and create an employment hub. The scheme will be implemented in addition to the Production Linked Incentive Schemes (PIL). 7 mega textile parks will be created in a span of three years as part of the scheme.
