In 2009 National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) introduced the Para-Legal Volunteers Scheme which aimed at imparting legal training to volunteers to ensure legal aid reaching all sections of people through the process of the Para-Legal Volunteers Scheme. The Sheohar district court in Bihar is now inviting applications from interested candidates to serve as volunteers under the court’s jurisdiction area. If you get selected as the Para Legal Volunteer in Sheohar Court, then you are entitled to a stipend of R. 500 per day. Under the supervision of the Chairman of District Legal Services Authority, PLVs shall undergo a training programme, totally under the control of the Member Secretary.
