Tamil Nadu TET Exam 2019 Syllabus
There will 150 questions in both Paper I (for classes I-V) and Paper II (for classes VI-VIII). Duration of examination will be three hours, for both papers.

- Child Development and pedagogy will focus on Educational Psychology of Teaching and Learning, relevant to the age group of 6 – 11 years.
- Language I will focus on the proficiencies related to the Medium of Instruction.The candidate has to choose any one of the languages. For recruitment process candidates shall be eligible for the vacancies in the concerned medium only
- Language II English will focus on the elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities. Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects.
- The questions in the TET Paper I will be based on the topics of the prescribed syllabus of the State for Classes I – V but their difficulty level as well as linkages will be up to the Secondary Stage.

- Firstly keep your mind calm and be confident.
- You should aim of clearing an exam with maximum marks and joining for your dream government job this year itself.
- Be self- motivated.
- Go-through the syllabus at least twice and be clear about your areas you are confident and weak.
- Schedule your topics accordingly.
- Utilize the time for covering your weak areas.
- Don’t keep the weak areas to be covered for the eleventh hour of exam.
- The areas you are confident should also be studied,without negligence or over-confidence.
- For both papers’ respective class syllabus is important. So, try to complete prescribed state syllabus( Paper I- Secondary stage and for Paper II Higher secondary stage).
- Along with the scheduled study, practice mock tests. While doing mock tests we can evaluate for reproducing ability of what we learned.
